Great computer for a starter. Had to get used to it

It only stayed with me for one day before I returned it to local store. Pretty disappointed for its design. First of all, it does not look fashion, not as expected for an Apple product. It is thick and heavy, heavier than you expected for a 13.3inch laptop.

This computer has been on my wish list for awhile.

I have always been skeptical about buying an apple computer for a long time. After 3 months of researching, I decided to finally buy one. And I have ZERO regrets! This computer is not only intuitive and fast, but it is also sleek and elegant. Transferring my music, movies and photos was so simple! Almost too simple! It has amazing battery life and it runs quiet. I am in love with this computer. It is more expensive than most windows computers, but the MacBook pro makes up for it in every other aspect of my needs. Kudos to Apple and Best Buy!

I got this mac to basically replace my larger macbookpro that is getting serviced. I expected it to be about the same as the mac I've been used to. I spent $1000 on this so I expected it to be pretty good. It's really awful. The keyboard is nice and the keys are very easy to type with. But my pleasure ends there. It hangs longer than it goes - possibly a slight exaggeration, but you get the point! It's extremely labored and I've gotten to where I type one or two letters slowly just so the computer can keep up. The sound quality is extremely poor and I have to use a headset to listen to anything. I will have to download a program just to hear my video trainings. I'm definitely NOT keeping it.

Have to redo password every time I get on. Now it is locked up. Thinking it is a bad investment. Have to take back to best buy tomorrow. Have been on the phone with Apple advice person too many times to fix problem and it keeps coming back.

This computer had some issues out of the box, especially running microsoft office products like word. The computer would freeze and take too long to process. Reinstalling the OS completely seems to have fixed it.

Great for fun- but not so great for work; some software doesn't run smooth on macs. My advice try it out - great design but the apple ecosystem for computers is a headache- not so much for phones but for computers- think twice.

Hard dish crashes for this mac pro. Apple says only this laptop has magnetic hard drive. And it crashes if you travel woth this laptop alot. But i dont travel much. Still hard disk crashed two times a year. Unfortunatly my warrenty was expired and i have to pay for new hard drive. Then after 2 months again crashes my new hard drive. So I will recomend everyone please dont go with MacPro. You can buy anyother mac laptop others are gud , they dont have this magnetic hard drive. You should be gud.

This is a good product which is always dependable and has a good battery life and does not get viruses. It works well. I wish the price would come down but can live with it. Hopefully apple will be able to get the price down in the future. How do I submit this review? That's my main criticism. The survey is constructed very poorly. The account number is hard to find. The frustration of this survey (your products and salespeople are first rate) provides great incentive NEVER to buy anything from Best Buy.

As a first time Apple owner I find this product to be less user friendly than I was lead to believe. While it is a great computer I feel that it is overpriced and lacks the user friendly aspects that it promises

Found 3 dead pixels on the screen, i was told that this was the standard, unnaceptable!

not at all a fan of high gloss screens (prefer the older matte finish that doesn't reflect my office ceiling lights) also, very sad to see iDVD gone. May return this one and just refurbish my old mac with the programs I like and the matte screen

It is not that good. Sometimes it hangs which you generally don't see with Apple products. For the students, it's good as it has big hard drive. So yeah, you can use it for sure.

got the product from best buy promptly but ran into wifi issues with the mac. the usual wifi problems that some of the mac has. taking it to apple store now to see what the problem is.

For the specs that you have compared with the other MacBooks, it's a decent machine. A little heavy, but to state that's all due to the DVD drive stretches the imagination.

Got this Pro got home and used it for a day. Felt it was very heavy and unpractical to carry it around if I needed to so returned the next day and got my self new retina display ...

Got this on sale.. Definitely feels like a refurbishment. Not very happy with this purchase.

Computer stopped working after 3 weeks of purchase. I was told by the Geek Squad the mother board was not working. Laptop now has to be shipped off for up to two weeks to be repaired

I was hesitant to switch to a Mac as I've grown up with Windows PCs. With recommendations from family and friends, I decided to take the plunge. I'm glad I did. Applications are intuitive. The Mac can also run Windows if I want it to. With this model, I'll be able to upgrade the RAM or the hard drive if I'm going to need more power or speed in the future. I personally now have a better understanding of why Macs are highly rated.
