I read the reviews, bought into the hype of Apple latops. In particular MacBook Pro's. First, it runs very slow and has a bunch of software pre-installed that can't be deleted. Second and most important I purchased this computer bc of work and needed it to have good battery life. The reviews made it seem as though the battery life was great... WRONG. The battery doesn't give you more than 3 hours at a time and this is brand new, not refurbished, I will not purchase another MacBook.

Computer appears to we'll built, however, the transition from the Windows world has not been as intuitive as I expected. This is not so much the computer's fault as the owner's.

Well what can I say..... it an Apple. Yes, the graphics are good, the operating system is simple and overall not a bad computer at all. However, I would still prefer Windows.

Never was told that it was an older model I was in the market for the newest model. My model was made in 2012

I love Mac products, but this laptop has issues with the battery. The device will just turn off and I had to take it to the ape store to fix the issue. It's been a week and I'm having the same issues. I did not purchase a service contract with Best Buy which I normally do. Maybe I have a lemon. Go figure!

The MacBook Pro has been the best electronic purchase that I have ever made. It's quality is superb, the speed is incredible and it's ease of use is better than I thought it was going to be. I've had my MacBook for two years and it runs just a well as it did the first day I bought it. The battery life is great. I use it all evening during my night classes and it will last me several days when there is just intermittent use. I purchased Microsoft Office for my MacBook and it has allowed me to do everything that I need to do with no hiccups. I would recommend this product to anyone who has finally hit their breaking point with all windows based laptops; just as I had (or even if you're just in the market for a new one). The price is what caused me to shy away from my initial purchase. However, all I can say is that you will not regret it. I popped this purchase on my Best Buy credit card and took the 18 month 0% financing option. It helped to keep the payments at an affordable installment and I paid it off same as cash. Wonderful product, Apple. Keep up the great work!

This is a good computer but is too slow to start. I'm happy with this computer just my only complain is when I start this computer.

Definitely not the best performing computer out there, but a great introduction to MacBooks for the value-oriented consumer.

I bought this for school after having a previous Macbook Pro (which still works after 8 years). I wanted something lighter and thought I'd try out the Macbook Air. It is such a great investment! Quick speeds and lots of storage. Great battery life for having classes for 8 hours a day.

I was not happy with my apple computer. It would not connnect to wifi and was difficult to set up account. I would not buy.

4Gb isn't enough, the battery life is okay, i recommend upgrading to 8gb ram. Storage space is good, overall okay laptop.

It is a nightmare currently. It is asking for a password, we are not sure what it might be. It is asking for an ISP address, no idea what it is. We now have WIFI accessibility but it doesn't seem to do anything for this computer. Very disappointed. Joe really thought an Apple product would be so much better than my Windows PC!! I guess not. Perhaps someone in the Geek Squad might be able to help. Thank you. OD

I love my Apple computer for it has many wonderful features. It's my second Apple that I have purchased from Best Buy

My kid is very happy with this purchase. He needs it for school and it does everything he needs it to do .

Got a good deal on best buy; but they didnt allow to take the PRICE MATCH option. Got a bad experience from customer care.

just purchased it so don't know what's in store. for this amount of money, you shouldn't have to buy virus protection.

I was searching to replace my 5 year old Asus laptop running Windows 7. I have always had PC in the past. I bought my wife a Toshiba with Windows 8 last year which turned out to be a nightmare. I decided to give Mac a try knowing it couldn't possibly be any worse than Win 8. The ease of this operating system is quite amazing. I knew more about this computer within a few days than I have in a year with Win 8. I really like the 3 finger swipe to switch between open programs. The performance exceeds my needs. It is mainly used for streaming movies, music, internet, and lots of powerpoint/word-processing as I am also a student. This has everything that I need. After 2 months of use I still see only 1 downside to this computer and that is the lack of a calculator style number layout on the right of the keyboard. Very easy to overlook considering all the other advantages of the MacBook.

To be honest, I just wanted to own a macbook pro and this was on sale so went ahead and bought from BestBuy. I still wonder if putting $1000 on this was a smart purchase considering the speed of the computer and how long it takes to open up a simple word document. I guess, going with a newer configuration is the way to go. Lesson learnt.
