An amazing computer that will last! I have had a iMac for the past 7 years and it is still running really smooth. Great products!

I brought this after my old computer went out, at first i brought a computer with the new windows 8- but didnt like windows 8 at all! and returned it and got the Mac book pro instead, it is so easy to use and since i already had an ipad- i was up and running in one time. What ever you do, dont buy anything with Windows 8- it was nothing but trouble. Apple products may be expensive, but they are easy to use and you dont have to worry about any virus like all the others get.

In a previous virus-ridden, screen-freezing life I was a PC user-not anymore!!! I am finally free! Bought my very first Mac and this one is perfect! I had a tech friend check it out before I purchased this and I owe him a huge hug! It is fast, reliable and makes me smile everytime I turn it on because I know that I am going to have a pleasant experience.

I've wanted a MacBook for a while and finally purchased one on Black Friday for a great deal! Wish I would've bought it sooner

My previous laptops and desktop computers have all been Windows based devices. This is my first Mac computer, and so far I'm pleased with it. I ended up going with a Mac because it still had support for FireWire. I still have a few high end devices that use FireWire. I couldn't find a Windows based laptop that still had FireWire support. I didn't want to let the FireWire devices I had go to waste because the Windows based machines didn't have them. So I went with Mac. The fan noise is barely noticeable, unlike my previous laptops. I enjoy using the trackpad because it has quite a few gestures. I tend to use it more than my mouse. The Mac OS takes some time to get used to. I found myself having to do online searches on how to do things such as cut a file, and paste it into different folders. I figured out how to copy and paste files, but I later found that by using Command+Option+V was it's version of Cut & Paste. The price is a bit steep, but the build quality is top notch. So I guess you have to pay to get a quality product. The backlit keyboard is a plus also. Allows me to type well in low light conditions. For those that are comfortable using Windows, I'd suggest getting the Parallels software. It allows me to run Windows along side the Mac OS. I can install and run apps within the Mac OS environment, or I can have it run within the Windows environment. I can quickly switch back and forth between the two. I like using the keyboard shortcut of Command+Tab to quickly switch back and forth. Having Windows running on my Mac comes in handy when transferring files to my external hardrive that's formated for my other Windows computers. I'm not able to transfer files from the Mac OS, but I can if I switch over to Windows and it works just fine.

This is my second macbook pro. The first one was for me and the second was for my wife. We utilize these computers on a daily basis and the battery life is amazing. The ease of use is one of the best parts of this computer. The operating system is also one that I love and was designed with the user in mind. This computer will change your life.

great Mac, the speed on this one compare to the ones I already own it's amazing, feels very light to be an aluminum body.

Everybody knows that a MacBook costs a ton of money, thats a given. However the computer itself is amazing. There is nothing to complain about. It works extremely fast, and is very simple to utilize. If you can afford it, this is definitely the best computer to buy.

This has been a HUGE upgrade from the Dell laptop I had. At first I had some doubts to buy this because of the price. I bought the pro because it has a SD card slot and a CD drive. If your wondering if it comes with a mouse or Microsoft word...well it doesn't. However the experience using this laptop is beyond amazing, the picture quality is clean and crisp. Browsing the web is super fast you literally don't have to wait for a page to load up. Battery life does NOT drain quickly which is a plus. Also the web cam displays good quality if you use face time. This laptop makes me want to do my homework. Overall it's the BEST laptop i've ever used and the most money i've ever spent but I could see why it's worth it.

got this bad boy for christmas...I had most laptops on the market i was using a vaio which is the best laptop i ever used. But this macbook is just simply amazing...very easy to use and battery life is great! It was a transition for me using windows before since i never used a mac laptop before but i love it.

I got this for daily usage for checking email, surfing the web, some downloading in music and movies. Let me say this is so much easier than Windows 8. A lot faster than Windows 8 as well. I upgraded the RAM to 16 and can tell a huge difference, 8 GB would of been fine. i5 is plenty of speed.

I am a longtime PC user, so I do not have a lot of familiarity with Apple's brand of computer. Having saved enough money to grab this MacBook, I am amazed at what I have been missing out all this time-- I never want to go back to Windows! At first, I was a little apprehensive of switching my HP 16" to this 13.3" screen size but, at least for me, it really is not a big viewing difference. I am still getting the hang of things, but I have been impressed so far with how smooth it runs, how effortless the mouse-pad/browsing is, and the uniformity of Apple IDs to sync all accounts for simple storage and communication. Looking forward to experiencing more!

Have had this for under 12 hours and I Love it!!!! So much better than Windows. I have been able to download what I need with no issues. Once you update to OS X Yosemite and iOS 8.1 on your apple devices, the handoff feature and SMS work great when you are on the same wifi network.

This was the firs Apple Macbook for my wife. As a systems engineer using Windows all the time, I figured that getting my wife the Macbook would be ideal for her use as we take family photos all the time. I find that getting the Macbook Pro was perfect because of the value the comes with it. I have yet to see great photo softwares on Windows except Photoshop CS and we have that for our Windows but most windows machines don't come preloaded with great softwares. The Macbooks did with their iLife. We've pretty much use all softwares that came with it and love the buttery smooth performance of the track pad. Every penny was worth it on this machine. Highly Recommend it. After using this Macbook, I now am going to get either the Retina Macbook or Macbook Air 2012 in the next few weeks.

Good system, I upgraded the RAM from 4 to 16 Gigs. Much better performance. Looking to upgrade to SDD when pricing comes down during the holidays.

I general this was a great buy to upgrade my old MacBook circa 2007. The only issues I have are with file transfer since the two are hardly compatible since I could not uprgrade the OS to Lion on the old computer. I had read about this before, and was aware this would be an issue, and it is amounting to be a formidable one, as all of my iWork files need to be converted and saved as txt or windows version, in order for the new programs to open them... this was something I was NOT aware of. Next time, I will not wait as long to upgrade, which was clearly my issue. And THANK GOD I had an external drive to back-up to and use for the basic system information transfer. GO ME! LOL

This is my first Mac and I love it. Great display, easy to use. Highly recommended.
