Well overall its a good computer and it works for my needs as a Nursing student.

Ordered a MacBook Pro at a price that beat everywhere else. Chose free shipping, and delivery was estimated to take 7 days but item arrived in an unbelievable 3 days!

I'm in love!! I will never buy another PC computer again. I own an iPad, iPhone and now a Macbook Pro. I love how I can do one thing on one device and it syncs all of them. The screen's size has worlds above other screen's it';s same size and it super crisp. The transition from different programs is amazing and super smooth. This computer is so great!

Definitely worth every pretty penny in my humble opinion! i almost fainted when i saw the price, but i have had several laptops, and this one has fabulous picture quality, speed, efficiency, and it's a lot of fun to use. Also, it is way LESS hassle free from a Windows computer that always needs constant updates and virus worries. If you think about it~~all the simplicity saves TONS of time and energy..especially if you're working full time and have a family & don't want anymore headaches! Am sold on Apple from now on! :)

Bought it at a deal and very happy with it. Got it for its HDD capacity and DVD rom. Not many Apple Macbook these days comes with these config. A bit on the heavier side vs AirBooks or SSD MacBooks but fits my need.

I have had window laptop forever. I am very excited to begin using the MacBook. Thus far it has exceeded my expectations. The proof will be when I install Office.

I'm a heavy PC laptop user, and decided to switch to a Mac laptop... With the sale price, student discount, and my cashback rewards on my personal card, I finally got a great deal on it for $854.99. After playing with it for a few days, I have to say that I'm in love my new MacBook Pro. Still getting use to it, but it is clean, simple, and very easy to use. Great for a college student like me... :-)

We have two of these laptops, one with 4G RAM and a 500G hard-drive and one with 8G RAM and 750G hard-drive. They work well, all the time. We have a home network and mostly Windows laptops, one Ubuntu, printer, etc, and these laptops were easy to set up and establish on the network. They interface with everything on our network seamlessly with very little work on our part. They do anything we need them to do, when we need them to. A product that works like is is supposed to is worth the extra $$$.

I've been an Apple fan and user since the early 80's. We have multiple MacBooks in our house, and I bought this one for my niece taking off to college. Yes loves it, and it's perfect for college students.

This is a great machine if you want bang for the buck. It has all the Apple ergonomics without breaking the bank. Hardware is OK and it is compact yet a tad bit on the heavy side due to the HD and DVD drives. For the money it is a better deal hardware wise than a Macbook Air in my opinion if you are willing to put up with a 4.5lb laptop.

I've been using this laptop for the past 5 months running both OSX Mountain Lion and Windows 8 (via Parallels). It runs reasonably well while running two advanced operating systems simultaneously, but is prone to occasional lag here and there. Understandable given the strain on resources that must put on it, and it really isn't that bad, but it can be noticeable. Both Mac and Windows apps open and run very well. Battery life is fantastic, as I can probably get close to 7 hours of moderate use off the charger. The display is good, but obviously not of the retina quality. Overall, a great laptop, as is to be expected given the price point and company it came from.

As much as an evil empire as Apple may be, their laptops are unbeatable. I upgraded from my stone-age Macbook from 2006, which I was happy with before, and my Pro is a vast improvement. I would recommend this to anybody who needs a laptop that simply functions reliably, without any need to dig down into its inner workings.

excellent laptop. i'm sold on apple products. (have been since 2007) the products are more expensive, but over time, the value is evident. display is great & it's not even the top of the line. fits perfectly in my luggage for travel, it's lightweight and powers up & down quickly. i'm a little disappointed with the sound quality compared to the 15" but this one's highly recommended.

Apple doesn't put their products on sale very often but Best Buy had this one for $200 off so I just had to buy it. I am very pleased with it's performance. It has a real hard drive 500gig and 4 meg of RAM. Perfect for the internet activity I do!!

I did not pick this laptop up new. I couldn't stomach paying $900+ for it. First, the laptop looks nice. Second, you can actually upgrade the laptop memory and storage unlike the newer MacBooks. However, the laptop performance is subpar other laptops in the same price category. The display is ok but difficult to read on unlike the retina display. I added a solid state drive (500 GB) and maxed out the memory (16 GB) and it's reasonably zippy. However if you tried that new, you would have to add $200+ to the laptop price not counting the installation cost. If you want to ease into a Macbook and be able to upgrade later down the line, this one is your only choice. If you want performance out of the box, pick up a retina Macbook Pro.

the macbook pro is one of the fastest and innovative laptops in the market. It has HD graphics performance, Hd camera, and an i5 dual core processor for insane speed.

This is the last Mac with user replaceable components (i.e. memory and hard drive), the newer models have them glued in. It is also the one with an installed SuperDrive. It may not have the fastest processor but I installed more memory as soon as I bought it and it is fast enough for my needs. It is noticeably faster than my iMac, which has 1/4 of the memory (and I'm not able to upgrade that). Eventually, I plan to upgrade the hard drive to a solid state drive (recommended by the Apple Rep in the store) and then it will serve my needs for years to come. I am very happy with my purchase.

Was looking for a new laptop and decided to get this one because of all the great reviews. But I was very disappointed with it. After only 10 mins, the laptop got very HOT. For a brand new $1,000+ laptop I expected it to not get so hot so quickly. The thing that annoyed me the most about this macbook was the screen clarity. Pictures weren't as clear as on my other laptop. The text is blurry looking and gave me a headache. The 13.3" screen is also way too small. This laptop is also waaay overpriced for the specs. Don't understand the hype about it at all. It went back to the store!
