this was my first macbook and it works great but I should've gotten a bigger screen. If you use it a lot, for school work or other work, then I suggest getting a bigger screen.

I'm in love with my MacBook Pro! It isn't that difficult to switch over from PC to Mac.

First Mac for me & should be my last for a long time. Macs beat everything out there. I used to have a Toshiba but will never go back after using this. I've been an apple girl for awhile but hope to switch everything to Apple as soon as I can. Was able to transfer everything to the Mac over wi-fi & didn't lose anything. If you get stuck on something you can search the apple website & normally find what you need. I thought getting used to the trackpad & keys were going to be difficult to learn but it was smooth sailing after I read the instructions. Only downfall I will say is I haven't figured out how to do page up/down. Other than that this is perfect for me. Light weight, love the cd/DVD drive & all the functionality. You won't be disappointed with this machine. .

I decided to buy this MacBook Pro, my first Apple laptop after making a purchase of a Windows 8.1 Toshiba laptop which suddenly had a major motherboard failure after less than two months of use. By the way, the Toshiba was my very first laptop purchase due to business issued laptops that served my portable requirements for over 16 years. I am in IT, and simply there is no comparison to the reliability of the Mac operating system and the consistent quick reboot for this machine to any window PC currently in over the life of the machine. The style use of the machine is exceptional. It also helps that these days there and no issues in working in the Microsoft software environments. My old fears have been extinguished. I am convinced that this machine will be reliable well into five years down the road when the life of PCs have have a lifespan of three years of effectiveness in my experience. I am very satisfied with my choice.

As we past Apple products, this is a superb computer that does all I need and more.

i really like my mac wouldn't have anything else again it is so easy to use the speed is fast and no more popups is worth every penny no windows no virus protection to buy I'm still learning about it but so far i love it i would like to sell my desk top and get a mac ........

The Macbook Pro is an excellent improvement over Apple's last venture. Graphics are crisp and the improvement in speed and performance is noticeable.

As a former PC user, I am so happy with the Mac. My daughter-in-law suggested I get a Mac because my PC was always freezing up. I'm so glad I took her advice. It's a totally new experience for me and I'm having fun using it. It's easier to use than I thought and I don't miss the mouse as much as I thought I would (even though I could connect one). I chose the MacBook Pro over the Air because I wanted to have the CD/DVD function built in. If you're a PC user and are getting frustrated with it as I was, I highly recommend buying the MacBook Pro.

We bought this laptop for my daughter who started her freshman year of high school. After purchasing an iMac for myself and speaking with friends and the sales staff at Best Buy, the general consensus is that the Mac's have a longer and more stable life then their PC counterparts. The laptop meets all of her needs for school, multi media and video editing for You Tube. Very happy with the MacBook!

So far I am finding this Mac to be much simpler to use than anticipated. I love how quick it is and how I don't need all the extras I had on my old lap top. I did purchase the the Office conversion since I have many things on jump drives and desk top that isn't compatible otherwise.
