I was looking for decent configuration Mac without burning too much money. This model was in right price range. I might have preferred Mac Air even $100 - 150 extra for similar configuration.

I'm old school. I want a built in optical drive. It is so convenient and really, I don't think it makes my laptop more delicate. I've had an air, but have to say, being able to burn CD's, photos, etc. without having to plug in an external optical disc, which I have found to be very fussy accessories, is a big plus.

The MacBook Pro computers are all engineered in outstanding fashion and this one is no exception. It may lack some of the most up to date features of the new Macs, but it really doesn't take a back seat. The display is excellent; it is fast and a perfect size. It is a little heavier than some others in this size range, but that is not a big drawback. It is a good buy for the money.

Great computer. It's easy to set up and syncs to the rest of the Apple products we own.

My first MacBook, and I will get a Mac soon more than likely. I have an iPad, and an iPhone and I couldn't wait to get a MacBook. They all work together obviously, this laptop is great! Love the design , and the processor is great for my personal light-use day to day functions.

I love my macbook pro. There was an adjustment period initially since I've always owned a pc but once I learned my way around and the shortcuts I used for pc operations I loved it. The macbook pro is fast, reliable, and I don't worry about my computer catching viruses anymore.

This computer is perfect for a college student, it does everything I need it too!

It is a light but fast, well built laptop that is easy to use and accomplishes every task I ask of it. I hope is lasts thru the warranty period. it is pricey but no virus attacks and no crashing. Apple is still on comback trail. Best is smart to carry a lot of apple products.

I was hesitate about buying a Mac because I thought it was going to be difficult to learn how to use it (after having only windows laptops). It's really easy to figure out how to use. It took me a day or two to figure out how to work it. I love that the battery lasts like 6-7 hours!! Also while some other people have to wait like 3-4 minutes for their computer to start up and load, as soon as I open my laptop it's on my home screen within seconds. I also have no problems using Microsoft Office on my laptop and I'm able to open up my documents on Windows computers without any difficulties. Best purchase I've made! Haven't had any problems with it and I bought it 3 years ago. It's a great laptop and definitely worth the money spent!!

I only used it a few times but it's great. although I do recommend buying more ram.
