This is my first Mac. I am extremely pleased with this computer. It is the last model still in stores that is you can upgrade and repair. Yes the new Mac's are cool looking and thinner, lighter. But I was sickened when learned that Apple has made it nearly impossible for consumers to upgrade or repair the new MacBooks, everything is soldered together inside. That's like going to purchase a brand new car and the engine is permanently welded to the car. So if it fails you have to buy a whole new one. Anyway, This Macbook Pro is still an excellent buy, and you can upgrade this machine to be as fast or even faster than the new ones! Very happy with this purchase.

I absolutely love the MacBook Pro. It's user friendly and simple to operate. I use the wireless mouse with it to make life even easier.

For the almost month I have had this laptop, I have had not one problem (knock on wood). It is very quick and easy to use. I never have to wait long for it to start up or download stuff. Very user friendly.

Great laptop, can't go wrong with Apple MacBook, especially with sale price.

This was the perfect system for me. Although the new models have more capabilities and slightly newer technology, they were much more costly. I wanted an internal dvd drive (versus having to carry one around) and this is the only model that still had that capability. I was able to upgrade easily to 16GB RAM and a 512GB solid state hard drive for under $350 which with the great Black Friday sale ended up costing less than what this computer sells for retail. Easily upgradable with lots of YouTube videos and websites to provide help. With these upgrades, boots and operates super fast. Yosemite upgrade was easy and I've had no issues. I absolutely love this system and would highly recommend it.

It was time to upgrade. The price on this was the right place at the right time.

Dependability, durability, and connect ability - nothing beats a MacBook Pro.

I chose this model over the newer MacBook Retina. This was my personal preference though. The MacBook Pro was a 2012 model I believe. I'm not a diehard Apple fan, so I don't know all the ins and outs. I've honestly never heard anyone say something bad about their MacBook Pro. You are still able to upgrade the Hard Drive to solid state if you choose. It's been around longer, which could be easier to have it worked on in case of emergencies. Well worth the money and planning on having it for a long time. So if you are the type that has to have the Newest Shiniest Apple maybe this isn't for you. If you are a person looking for a quality laptop and you don't mind Mac then consider this one instead.

The Apple MacBook Pro is amazing! I wouldn't know what other laptop to recommend for school and personal use. All the programs are easy to figure out and it's really fast. It's pretty light and easy to travel with. Although it is pricey, it is worth the value!
