This computer is naturally a little heavier than the Macbook Air but my son doesn't mind the small difference in weight. He was more interested in the extra capability afforded by the Macbook Pro. We almost waited for the new Macbook Pro rumored to be coming out in October but decided to "pull the trigger" and proceed with this model due to the great price point we were given. I also have a MB Pro and we both LOVE our computers. These are great devices with excellent craftsmanship. The attention to detail is remarkable, and I believe we will both get many years of service from these excellent computers. After using Windows computers for many years, I am now SOLD on Apple products.

I've been using it with my photos and for streaming I like it a lot.

I have really enjoyed my new Mac. The only thing is I wish it had more memory. Hard to put my Photoshop software on there because then there is no memory to run other things.

This computer is great. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs a computer graphic design, video editing, or music recording. I bought this computer for personal use and to record music. The computer includes garage band which is decent software for audio recording, but unlike windows, it includes the software. The sound quality from the built in speakers aren't great, but it's expected from most laptops. I suggest you get speakers for it. The computer is fast and reliable. The specs are great and it is a very reliable computer. It has plenty of storage space and Ram. The biggest problems that I have with the computer is there is a lot of glare on the screen. It sometimes makes it difficult to watch video on it. You usually have to have the screen facing away from the light source. Overall, this computer is a great buy if you want power and portability

I bought an identical laptop four years ago for my son when he was starting college. Great laptop for any college student. The size allows you to easily carry it around in a backpack or large purse. Easy to use and the Apple brand speaks for itself.

I love my new mac I recently converted to mac and it has been a smooth transition. The ability to migrate my whole windows system using another program makes everything flow just right. No concerns of freezing or loosing your work. Love, love, love it!

I went from owning just an iPod two years ago, to now having an iPhone, iPad, iPod, and now the MacBook Pro 13" base model. I didn't think I'd ever get so many different devices but the MacBook really is amazing and necessary for my music recording. The computer is fast and full of grea programs right out of the box. I opted to upgrade to 16gb of RAM though, up from the 4gb included. Do this, it makes it faster and programs open flawlessly.

If you need a computer for work or home, the macbook your best option

I really dig my MacBook Pro. It's very user friendly, powerful, and beautiful to look at. Well worth the high price tag. I view it as an investment.

I'm not a proficient computer user, but this one is fairly easy to use.
