Got this for my Daughter who is a sophomore in HS, this our third apple and I know there will be no issues. Once you learn how to use it, it's the best. More customer support would be great. Especially for those over 40, It's difficult to get the help you need on the phone and the Apple Store is too crazy.

This laptop is basically for school and myself and quite frankly, its the best. There has never been such laptop with the speed and ease of use that i have ever laid hands and eyes on. This is the best laptop ever.

I considered a Mac for years. When my Sony finally gave up the ghost (suspect malicious software installed when working in China), I made the switch. So far I have not been disappointed with my decision. There is a learning curve after using a PC since the mid 90s, but I am figuring it out. Build quality is unsurpassed. I look forward to years of use.

I've been a PC girl all my life and swore never to switch to MAC. After doing some research and talking with some Techy friends of mine, I decided to give MAC a try. I have to say.. for the price I paid, I am definitely satisfied with my purchase. Best Buy was really helpful in letting me know the pros and cons to both the MAC and PC. I think the staff member basically gave me the honest truth after all my questions. However, I am happy I got the MACbook and do not regret paying the extra money I wasn't planning to spend on a laptop. If you can get a good sale, like I did, then it will be a purchase you won't regret. Also, If you are not familiar with MAC books, I recommend taking a course at the Apple store, it helped me a lot!

Upgraded from a desktop pc to a MacBook pro laptop. Love that this one has a cd drive. Very familiar since I've been using an Air at work.

Had a great experience using that Macbook, had many features and programs that made its use easy for me. Perfect quality for a perfect size.

I purchased the entry level spec MacBook Pro and I don't regret it. I'm not a heavy media user, just like the average internet surfer, upload pics, and occasionally using Microsoft office, and occasionally uploading and editing videos from my GoPro. This guy handles everything with ease with its 8GB of RAM and its i5 processor. The reason I bought this before the incoming update that is due for this line is because it had a huge Bestbuy sale that I couldn't refuse. I love this laptop and have always trusted Macs since switching over to them in 2007. If you're just a little over the average computer user and need speed and power you will not be disappointed with this laptop.

I've always had PC's. However, after the last one (that ran slow and came with Windows 8), I took a PC vs. Mac poll on Facebook, in which Mac won hands down. Once the sticker shock evaporated and figuring out totally different configuration, I started using my MacBook Pro for everything and fell in love. Swiping from screen to screen is so easy, the launch bar is right there when needed and many other features easily make this the best investment in a computer I've made to date.

My daughter has been very pleased with it. The only downside has been that her older Canon B/W printer/copier/scanner didn't have drivers for a Mac OS so we had to buy a new printer. This is not a MacBook problem but keep in mind there may be compatibility issues with older hardware compared to a Windows laptop.

It's so much better than a PC in that it's simple, the battery life is amazing, and it's very light in comparison. I do miss having a 10-key pad, but honestly the greatness of my MacBook Pro outweighs that!!

This computer just blown out my expectation. Initally i bought Mac book pro older version and meeting not meeting my needs and expectation and i decided to upgrade to this one and i am very much satisfied with my new Mac book. It was so easy to set up, just took 5 mins. Perfect choice for power users.

I purchased this MacBook Pro to replace a MacBook I bought in 2008. After the longevity the first one provided, I knew I wanted to go with an Apple product again. I have friends who bemoan overpriced Apple devices, but in my experience they've lasted significantly longer than other products I've used.

My son planned to get the new retina Mac but after speaking with a Best Buy employee who could have made a more lucrative sale asked my son why he wanted a Mac. After taking time with him he determined another Mac on sale would better suit his needs. We were blown away by the service and will be back.

I am a devoted Mac user and the hardware justifies that loyalty. The Maverick OS has been a pain...refusing to use several very important databases I've had for years. Lots of typing to transfer over....but that's the software.....not the hardware.

Although this is an outdated model, it still works great for our purposes. Highly recommended!

At first I Was a little disappointed at the looks of it. Looks simple thicker then what I was expecting but when I stared usinging my MacBook . It was Great for all my needs easy to manage great quality. A little heavy but not a big deal. Smooth navigation a little expensive but well worth my money.

Long battery life, great graphics, easy to use. Spending the extra money on this computer rather than a cheaper computer was worth it because you know it will last a long time and you get what you pay for.

Switched from a PC and found that the switch wasn't as easy as advertised. It doesnt load any faster than a PC. Great computer I'm sure but I just have yet to see any major advantage over a PC

I upgraded to this computer after my 2008 MacBook started ailing. After having been incredibly pleased with my first MacBook, I refused to turn PC despite the lower cost. In my experience, Macs are incredibly user friendly and unceasingly reliable unlike many PCs I come in contact with through work. I know there are two very different worlds: the Macs and PCs. Either you belong to one or the other, but for me Mac continues to please and surprise me. The price may be a deterrent, you can rest assured you are getting a well manufactured and dependable piece of machinery.

I have had this laptop for 6 years and never had an issue. It currently still works (original battery that still works great. I don’t Hebe to keep it plugged up in order to still use it). Never needed a repair of any type. It was my first Mac and it served me well. It was why I didn’t hesitate to get a new one despite there being cheaper PC options. I absolutely recommend the MacBook Pro line. A great investment that if taken care of will give you years of service. Apple can definitely be pricey but it’s worth it.
