I finally decided to participate in Black Friday shopping and was looking to upgrade my 2002 Apple MacBook G2. But I was on a budget but needed a new laptop being that I was unable to update any of my software or flash players, stream live music or videos, ect. So being that the MacBook Pro with Retina display was on sale for Black Friday I got myself one with an awesome deal. Thanks BestBuy!!

This is a great laptop that I know is going to last me for at least 5 years. I recommend to anybody that is willing to pay this much. Keep in mind also that you may have to buy a separate disc drive or Microsoft office etc, before you make the purchase. I prefer MAC OS X over Windows OS any day so the price sacrifice to me is worth it. I can't stand Windows OS any longer, its so clunky. If you buy this product you will be satisfied and may never regret the purchase.

Purchased this product with some influence from long time MAC Owners. I've Been a PC / laptop owner for years. Sure its a nice looking machine.. it appears to be operating the way you would expect it too when you buy something new, but I'm not WOWED... Give me a break MAC Groupies.. it's a nice machine... but for an everyday use of getting e-mails, running a small business from it and surfing the internet.. it's just another computer if you ask me. There's lots of great computers on the market, don't feel pressured like I did to go out and buy from Apple. This laptop is "good" - but at the price they get for these things I would hope it makes my morning coffee next time. Do your homework and buy what you feel is best for you. Oh and by the way.. I bought the wireless mouse for this MacBook Pro.. Talk about the worse ergodynamic product I've ever had.. Their wireless mouse is terrible.... It will give you carpel tunnel.

Last year I bought an early 2013 15 inch rMBP and liked it so much that I ended up buying this 13 rMBP for my wife. We are long time PC users but decided to switch to better hardware and to take advantage of the Apple ecosystem (we have iPhones, etc.). I like the integration between OSX and iOS - such as saving browser passwords on one device and being able to use it on the other (via iCloud). There is a little learning curve going from PC to MAC but it is not that difficult. If you are on the fence about this laptop or the 15 rMBP, go for it. You will not be disappointed. Enjoy!

We bought 2 of the Retina MacBook Pros at the same time, a 15.4 for me and this 13.3 for my wife. It is unbelievably fast and the battery life is fantastic!

Overall fantastic purchase. I bought this computer for work and study. Speedy with citrix and I have not had any issues yet. Fantastic battery life.

I spent a lot of time trying to decide about the retina display, and I decided to go with it because the computer would be faster, better and lighter.

Apple always puts out great products and haven't fallen short with this one. Retina display is extremely crisp and laptop is very fast and responsive.

Apple has created the perfect laptop. Mavericks runs great, the hardware is fantastic, the display is beautiful, and the machine is blazingly fast.

I absolutely love my macbook. I am a full time student/worker so I need something light and portable this is perfect for that. Its fast and clear.

I don't use computers to often and would consider myself to be computer illiterate but I needed a computer of a new job that was strictly computer based. My wife has a windows and I tried using that at first but had too much trouble with it. After great research I finally decided to go with this Mac and am very glad I did. Very easy to use, operate, and understand. Great battery life, starts up and shuts down in just a few seconds, and is beyond easy to understand even for a computer illiterate like myself. I would highly recommend this to everyone.

I knew I wanted to switch from PC to Mac since I was getting into media, and boy did I make the right choice! Macbook Pro starts up quickly, downloads images/PDFs/video clips super fast and is fun to use! I have the 13", which I was afraid might be too small, but I'm very happy with it. I refrained from buying the Macbook Air, since I thought it was too thin (and that I would break it the moment I looked at it wrong)- but this Macbook is still very small compared to PC laptops I've had. I used Best Buy's college student discount to buy!

Love it. Just love it. Miss having a disc drive, however.. The graphics are amazing. It's super fast. Lightweight and everything a student needs

I looked for light compact fast computer because I'm student. This Apple MacBook pro was super resolution of the problem. I really love it!

This laptop is really easy to use and is great for a college student because of the lightweight. The boot up time is really quick as well.

The laptop is lightening fast, thanks to the solid state drive. Apple has done a good job with the solid body and enhanced battery life.

I would recommend this to anyone looking at a computer. The retina display is really worth the extra dollars and it's really easy to use

I ended up buying a macbook because it finally has better hardware than other windows laptop. As far as looks no other laptop looks more gorgeous than macbook pro. In addition I couldn't find any windows laptop that has a longer battery life. But this might change in the next year or two but right now I think its the best laptop you can buy. The only drawback is its expensive, but for the hardware you get I think its worth the extra dollars. I think the 256GB offers the best value for the money because it has the same SSD performance as the 512GB and same 8GB ram. Let me tell you that you do need 8GB of ram because OSX maverick use 4GB ram by just turning it on. Sure OSX will work fine with 4GB but it will continuously compress and delete stuff on the memory which could decrease battery life, and performance.

I have an iPhone and iPod but hadn't made the jump to but a Mac because I thought they were over priced. I decided to take the leap and purchase it and I don't regret it at all. I had a dell laptop all through college and had nothing but trouble so this was a nice change. Doesn't freeze, it's speedy, and has all the programs you need. Not to mention when I play music from iTunes the sound is AWESOME. Love it!
