This is my first Mac computer! It's so fast and easy to convert from Microsoft style to Apple. I would recommend this to everyone.

We purchased this for our son before he goes to college. His sister had one through college and it is still running perfect. Easy setup but a slight learning curve. Glad we purchased before needed for college so he can learn how to use it properly. Will purchase one for myself in the near future to replace my 4 year old windows computer.

Judging from the amount of time my daughter spends watching Netflix and playing computer games, this is the best purchase I've made.

This was a replacement of the same computer that was 6 years old. I did not have to relearn how to use a Mac for which I am thankful.

I'm just going to say this is the best laptop you can buy. I gave this to my 17 year old daughter for Christmas and she had not put it down since. She watches movies, plays music, skypes, and does all her homework with not one bit of trouble. It should take her through her entire college career.

First Mac and couldn't be happier. It is much faster than my Asus Zenbook running Windows 8.

The only reason I give it 4 stars is because of the price. I would have liked to buy the next storage up model but I had a hard enough time paying the money as it was. It also requires an external dvd. It's a great laptop that requires no virus protection. If you can save the cash it's worth it.

I'm more delighted as I use the Macbook more. There's a significant learning curve, coming from a PC, but it's totally worth it. I'm learning new things almost every day about its abilities. I thought I might return it at first, just because it's so different from a PC and I didn't understand how to make it do things I need. But taking it slowly and not getting impatient has been worth it. I'm using it exclusively now, except for the PC as a reference for information not transferred to the Macbook. Pleased!

I am a PC user and purchased the laptop for my wife. It has a great display. Only down side is that it does not have an optical drive.

The lastest Macbook meets all expectations. Apple continues to deliver quality laptops that should certainly meet most user's needs.

It's hard to argue against Apple products, especially iconic ones such as the MacBook. It's a fine laptop computer and the best feature is its lightweight, but I'm not "blown away" by any aspect. The Apple data transfer tools were weak and it was far better to use cloud-based storage tools (DropBox, Google Drive, etc.). Before writing a review, I waited several weeks to get some experience. The native software tools are positioned to be good alternatives to leading products, but often fail to deliver on that promise. The MacBook Pro works fine, it's pretty, and it's light...but likely far over-priced for what it delivers in basic performance.

Easy to use if familiar with apple products. Long battery life

Went from a mid 2009 MacBook Pro to this. I love it, the retina, performance, and light weight definitely is a added joy. The thing that troubles me, RAM is not upgradable,

The processor is fast, light weight and easy to use.

i couldn't be happier with the performance. Web pages open quickly an there is no lag even with multiple applications open at once.
