I decided I needed a lap top and didn't hesitate for a moment in getting my MacBook. I already have an iPhone & iPad and thought the transition would be easy as I have a good grip on my other 2 Apple products. My experience with computers @ work is with a windows based PC.....need I say more! I'm getting it with help from my daughter who is a pro on her MacBook, I have a list of "tips" from her & I'm looking into a "MacBook for Dummies" resource book. The laptop itself is great; fast, crisp/clear screen, it's the operator who is a bit slow!

I needed a lightweight & super fast computer for school. I literally take this computer everywhere. I just wish macs weren't so expensive :/

Simple, reliable, durable, lightweight, and a very powerful machine. If you're in the market for getting a new laptop, you won't regret getting this one. It has a hefty price tag, but you get what you pay for and this is in it for the long haul. I've never once had a problem with any of my Macs and it's why I continue to invest in Apple's products.

Bought this Mac Book for my wife for her birthday. It is her 2nd one and she loves the speed, updated functions, and especially size and weight. If you like Macs this is a definite recommend.

I was upgrading from a 12 year old, $1, 025 Gateway laptop. I went to Best Buy for a Surface Pro 3, although I had been wanting a Macbook for a couple years now. I have always been a PC guy so that's why I was hesitant. I discussed my needs and computer interests with the sales person and I was steered towards an apple laptop. I already knew I wanted a Retina Macbook Pro if I ever purchased one. When I finally made up my mind, based on availability, this latest generation Macbook was available and I purchased it. I've had it less than a month but already love it. I set it up myself. It was a breeze. It's just like setting up and iPhone. It pairs with my iPhone as well, which also scared me because you msgs, email, pictures, browser can all be synced so whatever you start on one device, can be continued on the other device. I used the Numbers program, which is Apple's version of Microsoft's Excel, and Numbers is a lot simpler. The screen is beautiful for viewing pictures or tv/movies. The laptop just looks beautiful and operates quietly and quickly. I don't see myself buying another PC. I mainly use it for web, email, photo transferring and editing, and now storing music. Huge Mac fan now.

Once upon a time, I had a 2012 MacBook Pro. I had gotten it used but it definitely was durable and became a part of my everyday life. After spending time on the Mac side, I got drawn back to Windows and traded the MacBook Pro in. Some time passed and came across a good deal on a used 2015 MacBook Pro I could not refuse. As an early review/early impression, it does feel lighter (no optical drive), less hard drive space (128GB now versus 500GB in the old one) but is faster (SSD now versus mechanical HDD then). I have not had much time with it yet, but so far I am falling back in love with a MacBook...Pro.

I absolutely love my MacBook Pro 13.3" laptop. I am coming from windows (I have an ASUS gaming PC that I've upgraded,i7 clocked at 3.9 ghz with 16 gb RAM and a ton more). I was extremely hesitant at first from switching from windows to iOS, but i'm glad I did. The MacBook Pro is extremely fast. The bootup time is insane. It is SSD, so everything is extremely quiet compared to my ASUS. Below I will outline just a few of the Pros and Cons of the macbook Pro. Pros: - iOS is extremely user friendly and the new iOS X makes life easy as it will convert your windows files to a readable format to iOS. - The Laptop is made of sturdy materials that I believe will last. - All SSD, which equals way faster read/write times - The display is amazing, the best i've ever seen - the new trackpad is by far my favorite. i prefer it over my mouse. - The keyboard is sweet. I can't explain what makes it stand out so much, but go to your local BestBuy and play on one and you'll see what i'm saying. - The overall quality and my personal satisfaction with my purchase has increased my productivity while taking online classes. Cons - Price, which I will tell you below how to save money upon purchasing - The 13.3" is tiny, BUT I connect it to an external monitor. - Apple offers horrible ROM. Way i got around this is purchasing a 1TB external hard drive and reformatting it to iOS. - The awesome quality makes you nervous about dropping it. If you do not have a protective case (I suggest getting the new Thule case), your MacBook Pro has a high chance of being destroyed upon impact. - You do not have as much customization with iOS as with windows, but it's also a lot more stable.

First, I bought this in store and the gentleman who helped me provided a lot of quality information. I knew I wanted a MacBook due to editing video and recording music. Not only did he make the suggestion for the MacBook Pro but he also pointed out that it was also marked at $200 off. The machine itself is extremely easy to set up. It comes pre-loaded with spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software. It also includes GarageBand and iMovie which are both wonderful programs. The computer is fast and the user interface is easy to use. I am happy with my purchase and I am happy with the service I received from the BestBuy associate.

Love this laptop. The display is amazing and the laptop is really light. I replaced a macbook pro with this laptop and I could not be happier. Never hear the fan and it is really fast!

Got this Macbook on sale from Best Buy for my wife who was going back to school. She loves the portability of it as well as the performance and screen resolution. We decided to go with this option to make sure the computer had enough oompf to be a decent machine all the way through her masters program and not need to be replaced in a year or two. I would definitely recommend this over the MacBook Air as a long term laptop source.

I admittedly don't use my laptop to it's fullest potential. Mostly for daily word processing, spreadsheets, social media. and web browsing. So if you're looking for a review about it's capacity this is not it. But if you enjoy a beautiful viewing experience and portability I can't recommend this laptop enough. It works seamlessly with my phone and fits perfectly in my backpack. I upgraded from a 2-year-old Macbook Air and I completely underestimated how much I would enjoy this Pro. It's slightly thicker and heavier but you really don't notice the difference. The screen resolution is 1000x better which makes those everyday tasks all the more fun.

I was a bit apprehensive about making the jump from a PC to a Mac but I cannot even explain or begin to tell you how satisfied I am with the switch! I've had the computer for about a month, to a month and a half now and I give it a A+. The Mac interface is easy to adjust to and get a feel for. iMessage is an amazing feature if you have an iPhone as well! I look forward to many years of use out of the Mac. Battery life is very good as well!

I can't reconcile why I didn't leave Windows sooner. A Macbook just operates like you think a laptop should. Most of the configuration is well-designed in expectation of what will be needed of it. The look is clean and minimalist. The battery actually lasts 4hrs unlike 10 million Windows laptop models and the pricing is much better than it was 7 years when I bought a MacBook.

I have bought my daughter two MacBooks over the last 8 years. They are reliable, fast, easy to use, much better than any pc I have owned. I am very pleased with this product.

It's a great size and weight and easy to use. I was under the misconception that the change to Apple would be somehow difficult. It has been very easy and I love my new laptop.

As long as apple exist I will always be a customer. I went from hp to mac and absolutely love it! The screen is very clear. It is easy to navigate around. Laptop is lightweight, much more lighter than hp's. Picture quality is beautiful. I can do anything from writing a paper to making beats or playing games. I don't think I'll ever go back to hp. So far I've been very content with all the apple products I have. I'm going for Apple Watch next!!!! Absolutely would recommend to the world

No complaints.... Only one minor detail: if you are like me, which imports a lot of high res videos from the GoPro, your space will run out pretty quickly. Please plan on getting an external HD. Now, from laptop perspective, it's super fast... the Retina display is stunning, the speakers are awesome as well... the performance in general is great! The battery charges super fast! Very happy with this product!

Faster processing unit than older Macs. Lighter and thinner design than older Macs. Does NOT have CD drive. One will need to get external drive to play or download CDs or DVDs.

This is my first Apple computer. It is very intuitive and simple to setup and use. Great performance with a long lasting battery.

Fast, great display, very easy to put in briefcase or Letter Bag. Everything you want in a small package. Almost as light as a Mac Air, but with munch more power and function.
