It's a shame that I purchased this laptop with only 128gb. It certainly with the use I do does not meet my requirements. But the premise of buying this laptop because of all the ports that it has is great! Battery life is fantastic, and the screen is beautiful! It's a little heavier than the new ones. With the hard drive capacity is great for browsing the web and doing some letters or stuff like that. Definitely not for complicated processes of video editing since the drive is so small.

Pricing is everything these days, everyone wants the best possible deal right? So why buy a Macbook Pro when you can get the same laptop(albeit as a PC) for cheaper? The build quality is through the roof, this is one SOLID piece of technology, no more do I have to hold a cheap plastic device around my apartment or deal with finicky keys and a loose hinge. This laptop is made to last a LONG time and it really shows the second you take it out of the box. Gaming is also decent but I primarily use the machine for adobe products such as Photoshop and Illustrator. The ease of use is amazing and If you have ANY other Apple products I would recommend this Laptop(or any other variation of Mac) above all else

Not fault to best buy for having the best price around for this laptop, however for the specs it is still overpriced. If you're looking for a easy to use laptop that is amazing right out of the box then this laptop is for you.

I have only owned one computer before, and that was new back in 2005, so a while ago. It was an apple (an iBook G4), but a lot has changed since then. Its definitely been a learning experience so far, and I do consider myself someone pretty good with computers. I first bought this MacBook about a month ago, but turns out, it had a glitch, where one day it suddenly duplicated every single file in the "All My Files" file. So instead of having about 80 files, I now had 1,200 something. However, they weren't technically taking up any more storage than one single file due to the fact that they were all simply "shortcuts". Well, the guys in the geek squad at my local Best Buy determined that I had a lemon, and they exchanged my computer for a brand new one. Which meant that I now had to re-load all my files and pictures and music and everything all over again. There were some hangups that I experienced with that process. For some reason, the whole external hard drive subject just confuses me. Once again, when I finally got all my files loaded, I noticed something weird in the "All My Files" file. There were now shortcuts to all my music files, that are just supposed to be in iTunes. I decided I was going to involve apple care in this issue because I couldn't figure it out. So today, before I even called apple care, I open my computer, and check out everything, my iTunes, my photos, and my "All My Files" just to see whats going on. Well guess what? All those music files in the "All My Files" file are now gone. My music is still there in iTunes. I'm not really sure what went on there, its a mystery. But I'm glad nonetheless, thats what I wanted. So, like I said, I've gone through a lot with this new computer so far, but I still support Apple and prefer their products over all other companies. The Retina display is beautiful. The force touch trackpad takes a little getting used to but so far its been fine. Overall, I'm really happy to have this new computer.

I have been a PC owner my whole life. While at work, I began to use a Mac to do some design related work as well as some video editing. The experience was flawless! So, I decided to make the transition from PC to Mac. This was an upgrade from a PC that I purchased several years ago; and this Mac is zippy! Only complaints thus far is that while working on a design project and using Skype at the same time, the CPU couldn't handle both applications. Come to find out that Skype is not friendly with most Mac's. The other complaint is the price, but honestly the smoothness of the OS has made my experience thus far a great one. I would highly recommend this product and recommend that you purchase an external hard drive to ensure you do not use all your storage on the computer.

I love my Mac book pro!!! Could not be any happier the only thing that I don't like is that I have to buy an external drive for CDs and DVDs but I already bought it and it works awesome too just another $75 out of pocket

Everything good you hear about this laptop: all true. I was a complete windows-only kind of guy before, but after about a week of getting used to the OS, I'm sold. The keyboard and touchpad are really nice as well. Won't be going back to a windows after this.
