    Another great computer

You won't be disappointed with this computer. It's very quiet (unless playing a graphic-intensive game) and very fast. The only con for me is that the RAM and SSD drive are soldered to the logical board and cannot be upgraded once purchased. Keep this in mind when purchasing your computer since you may want to buy a MacBook with more RAM and a bigger hard drive.

The 13" model is light and easy to carry around and plugin into larger desktop monitors either at home or work. Retina screen is amazingly clear. Speed is good and the design overall feel is prefect. I feel the price and configuration of this model gives you the best price with just enough of the features you really need for a mid-light workload user. (photo, light graphics, business apps, etc)

The macbook pro is the best laptop I have ever had because it simply works. It does everything and does it with a beautiful screen, incredible speed and an ease of use.

Perfect Laptop for the college bound

This laptop replaces my daughters ASUS ROG gaming laptop. Her brother stole that for his own personal use. What I like about the macbook pro is that has sufficient power for my daughter to use throughout the next 4 years of college. The battery life is exceptional. We are invested in both the Google and Apple ecosystems for music so that was not a deciding factor. Ultimately the easy of use and portability (solid state drive doesn't experience shock) make this a winner. With Office 365 available for Mac, my daughter is not bound to the weak doc and spreadsheet programs offered by Apple. A sound buy here.

    I'm in love

I have always used a Windows PC, but love my iPad and iPhone and decided to switch to a Mac. I originally had been considering it back in 2013, but decided to stick with what I know. I finally made the decision this year and couldn't be happier. The machine is super light, quick and beautiful. Of course, there is a learning curve being that I am accustomed to Windows, but it is a curve I happily accept.

    Easy transition from Windows

This is my first Apple computer product after having had Windows products for more than 20 years. My previous main "laptop" was a Surface 2 and given that there was a caveat that not all Windows 10 features would be compatible with my Surface, and that I love my iPhone, I opted to make the transition to Apple. I'm very pleased with its speed and user-friendliness. Most shortcuts are intuitive, and the Apple.com website offers enough free tutorials to make maximizing this easy.

Great features but high price to entry

Apple has done a great job with the MacBook Pro line but they continue to keep the price relatively high compared to other PC vendors. This model has multiple USB 3.0 ports and Thunderbolt ports for using external medium. There is also a SD cart slot that can be used for uploading of digital photos or what not but I use it for additional storage with a flush mount SD card with 128GB of storage. This is in addition to the 128GB SSD drive already built into the machine which cannot be upgraded. As for the exterior, Apple has created a very slim profile device that feels comfortable to work with while portable or using in an office environment. The keyboard feels very nice and the new Force Touch keyboard is very easy to learn. OS X Yosemite is very functional and works great with this hardware and shows no lag. I don't do very intensive things such as video encoding so I'm not sure how well it would run in that setting.

    Great baseline MBP

This is a great baseline MBP, and I believe that Best Buy has the best deal in town, especially for students! I originally had a 15-in MBP and was worried that the screen would be too small after downsizing. (I was looking for a lighter MBP.) The screen actually appears larger than the previous 13-in models, and the ForceTouch trackpad is just awesome. Its features can mainly be used with Safari, but I'm sure that it can be easily used with other applications in the very near future. As far as the laptop itself goes, it runs fine without any problems, and I don't expect any issues with Apple.

I was always hesitant to get a Mac after being a PC user my whole life, mainly due to the decreased accessibility and different OS. While those things are a minor adjustment, my transition to Mac has been smooth and rather satisfying. If you're using a computer for anything music, I would easily say that Mac is the way to go. On a performance standpoint, Macs are the reliable way to go. My only complaint would be how hot the machine gets, but I might say that because I'm paranoid of all my other PCs crashing at temperatures like that. It's obvious. Mac is a phenomenal choice.

    Best Laptop of its age

I used to own windows laptops previously. Once I switched to MacBook Pro I never looked back at another windows device again, (except for PC gaming). This product has made everything super smooth especially if you're a college student. The keyboard is very clicky, unlike the new MacBook Pros. And the retina screen is amazing. Sound quality is also very good and it gets pretty loud. I love the fact that this is one the last MacBooks to have a HDMI and SD card slot. It makes things so much easier to plug it in versus using a dongle for everything else and then carrying that around as well. I have had this laptop for a few years and I owned a previous generation of this laptop before getting this one. Some downsides I would say is that there is only 128 gb of store which gets used up fairly quickly so you might have to carry around an external HD card with you. Another downside is the price. For the price there are many other laptops which come with similar features and offer more storage HOWEVER, I would not get any of them because the longevity of apple products far exceeds any of those other products.

Probably a better deal than Macbook Air

One can always ponder between Macbook Air and this small version of Macbook Pro. Some users always care about the portability but they may ignore the quantifiable measurements. Although it's called "Pro", its weight is just a little more than the corresponding "Air" version (I remember it is 3.48 lbs vs 2.96 lbs, just 20% heavier). And what's more important is the enlarged memory (8GB vs 4GB, that's 100% increase), and retina screen. In the holiday season the Pro's price even fell to a level close to Air. So that's really a good choice. The hardware quality is as high as usual.

Our MacBook Pro is used daily by every member of our family. It took no time at all to set up and get started. It is so light and easy to take along wherever we go, without needing the cord because the battery charge lasts such a long time! Our four year old is able to play games easily, using the keyboard and touch pad. We have been using an iPad for the past few years, and the MacBook Pro can do everything the iPad can't. We bought extra storage and unloaded thousands of photos and videos from our iPad and camera. I love that I can just plug in the camera, no software needed!

I have always had PCs in the past and recently decided to get a Mac because I love my iPad and iPhone. I'm a nurse practitioner student and this is perfect for school and anything else I need to do. I can run multiple things at once with no issues. The setup was very simple as well. I am not particularly skilled with computers but I have no problems with my mac book pro, extremely user friendly. This is a perfect computer for students, people working from home or really anyone needing a good quality computer for everyday tasks. I will never buy anything but Apple from now on!

Upgraded from a mid-2011 MacBook Pro. This model is much slimmer and lighter because of the removal of the DVD drive that is mostly unused. The HDMI port and dual USB 3.0 and dual Thunderbolt 2 ports are great peripherals. The main downside is the smaller storage space (128GB) and the lack of an Ethernet port. The storage space can be solved with an external USB 3.0 hard drive for most applications and a Thunderbolt to Ethernet cable can be used if needed for Ethernet.

As a former PC user, I recently switched to Mac and I do not regret. This MacBook has a significant weight without feeling too heavy or bulky, perfect for my taste. The solid state drive is super fast, and the RAM is generous. I anticipate this laptop will last me for many years to come without needing to upgrade. Setup was a breeze and the display is absolutely gorgeous. I am sold!
