My wife wanted an upgrade to her 6 year old laptop, and once she tried the Mac it was decided. She already has an iPhone and iPad so this was a natural progression. iTunes synced easily and she loves the software store via App Store instead of traditional install process for her old windows systems

I bought this apple computer for my daughter who is a senior heading to college. I have been doing research and reading review on several computers and I always came back to the Apple Pro-Retina. I talked to several of the computer techs in the store who showed me various computers which I was able to compare for myself before purchasing. The Apple was by far the better choice, clear pictures quality, I have 2 IPHONES, 3 IPADS, 7 IPODS, Apple TV in my home. I am able to connect easy and do a lot of things with being an Apple customer. My daughter uses it everyday all day to the point I wonder if she is going to burn it out before she starts college.

I have used HP for years, well Windows, and had been unable to convince myself to spend the extra money for an Apple. I finally broke down and took the plunge. I can't believe I waited so long. Mac is way easier than Windows, this thing is lightning fast and just great. I absolutely love this computer.

This is my first Mac in the long time, I can say that I've missed having a Mac, its fast, easy to use and straightforward. If you have a iPhone these laptop makes like much easier.

I have been a Mac convert since 2006. You pay a premium for Apple products but their products are solid. From an operating system perspective Mac OSX does what an operating system should do without getting in the way. I have had far fewer issues with the MBP and Mac OSX than any Windows based laptop.

I bought this as a birthday gift for my niece who turned 18. She loves it. She has only great things to say - especially about the display and audio quality.

I have always loved Mac products... I have an iPhone, iMac, iPad, and a MacBookPro from 2013. After 6 years, it was time to get a new laptop, so I knew Mac was my likely choice, but I compared other options just in case. In the end, I got the newer MacBook Pro. I watched this computer in store load quicker and run faster than the Air and new MacBooks, but to be honest, I really can't tell the difference when I'm using it by itself. However, I have yet to have any trouble with it, and would definitely recommend it to anyone willing to pay the extra cost to own a Mac instead of a PC.

Very easy to use though I am having some trouble adjusting from a touch screen. I wish the camera was better. My old Dell took better pictures than this one.

This is our first Mac and my son is very happy he made the switch. He considered a surface pro but ultimately decided the MacBook was more inline with what he needs. Unit has a solid feel and transition from Windows was less difficult than imagined. Best Buy price was great so no complaints at all.

Love apple products and this laptop didn't disappoint. Beautiful screen, fast SSD hard drive. Retina display is beautiful. Light and compact- a breeze to carry. Got it on sale. Love it.

I bought this laptop for school and I don't regret it, it is one of the best purchases I have made. The screen is amazing and the battery lasts a long time.

Great display is the obvious plus. Speed is acceptable as well as its weight.

This was my first Apple purchase. I bought it after my brand new laptop crashed for the second time in year, and needed a new hard drive. I have had my Macbook Pro for 2 years and have had no problems with viruses or hardware. I now have a Macbook Air and love it as well.

Whoever doesn't buy one of these is missing out. Are you sick of Windows and does the fact that Google has chosen to produce a sub-par OS with Chrome get you down, well just take the leap. Its worth it. I wish Google would make something comparable OS wise but it would probably look hideous anyway.

This laptop is better than any PC i've owned previously. The Mac OS is very intuitive and easy to get used to. I was skeptical about the transition from Windows to Mac because all I have every used is Windows, but I didn't have much trouble making the switch. I would recommend this laptop to anyone.

These machines have been so well made and perfect with Apple's OS that it's hard not to be loyal to Apple as a customer. The screen is beautiful, although not a touchscreen, and the trackpads are state of the art. You really see why Apple has done so well as a company. I used to be a staunch Windows user through XP Pro but since then Microsoft has managed to put a lot of lipstick on its lig. While I stuck with Microsoft bc Office on Mac was unbearable, now it's has become bearable, so I have now made the complete switch. Plus you can run Windows off of VMware or Parallels, so I don't see the need to subject myself to the confusion of Windows.

best laptop i ever bought. I am very happy with this purchase especially for the price. laptop is lightweight, battery is good. clear pictures. just excellent laptop overall.
