I choose the MacBook Pro because it fit all of my needs. I still like to have extra ports, usb, sd card slot. It is thin and light. I have used it constantly and the battery life has been great. I am glad I went with the MacBook Pro over the new MacBook.

I've been a long-term Microsoft customer, more because of the lower prices than anything else. But my son convinced me to give the Apple line a try, and I've been really glad I did. I really appreciate well-thought out design elements, and I think Apple has nailed that. This laptop is fast, and light, and well-designed. I love little details, like the backlit keyboard, or that opening the "lid" turns the laptop on. I'm not high tech enough to be able to give you technical reasons to buy this, but I can say that it has been a great purchase for me. I'd highly recommend!

I absolutely love this computer. I mainly got this laptop for school and I think this is the best decision I've made. It is so easy to navigate I know it's a bit expensive but you get what you pay for. You will definitely not be dissapointed highly recommend

I've always used Windows PCs. A recent move to iPhone caused me to consider a MacBook. I'm so very glad I did. It's faster, more simple to learn and works great with the other Apple devices. Also, the essential apps come preloaded at no additional cost.

This is my first apple computer after having one HP and one Acer in 5 years. It's fast, light weight, and easy to use once you get used to it. It feels sturdier than either of my other laptops and is more compact while still providing adequate work space.

I brought it when it was on sale and cannot believe the discount price, so I decided to upgrade my computer. The buying transaction was easy and fast shipping. The new MacBook Pro has a very nice display and long battery run time that last for the whole day.

Very happy with the MacBook Pro 13. I just have to go back to my old computer to remember how fast this computer is. Nice compromise on size, easy to move around but large enough to see everything.

I AM in love with this laptop!! Like it so much better than what it replaced. No more Windows for me. It's fast, easy to use and I love that everything is linked together. (My IPad mini, iPhones etc) A little more pricey but well worth the extra money!!

Very happy with this computer! It was beyond time to update from my old macbook pro and this one exceeds expectations and runs my programs beautifully. Much faster and efficient than my old one and I am very glad I decided to invest in a new macbook.

This macbook pro is exactly what I expected in an Apple product. Perfect for my daughter, a college student. She likes that it's lightweight, doesn't get hot sitting on the desk or on your lap, and the battery life lasts longer than anticipated.

This is perhaps the 15th Mac we've owned since 1985, and I'm already convinced that it is the best so far. Other than the physical limitations inherent in a laptop, screen size being the foremost of these, this machine is fast and reliable. We opted out of a lot of fancy add-ons - most of what we do with a computer these days is keep track if our finances and prepare our tax return. We don't need either gobs of disk space or a monstrous set of RAM, so the basic model of this iteration of the MacBook Pro was plenty. This likely won't be our last Mac!!

I purchased at Best Buy for my daughter so she had a computer for school. She is in the fourth grade and she's only nine years old opened it out of the box it was very easy for her to use from the beginning. Product performs well And operates easy

I am a first year medical student and purchased the MacBook Pro to use for taking notes and studying. I am a first time Mac user and absolutely love it. This laptop is very user friendly and the perfect size and weight to bring to class every day.

I was looking for a reliable, dependable, and fast laptop, which I wouldn't have to constantly keep on maintaining with constant updates, anti-virus, and so on. This Macbook Pro does the job and more! Plus it integrates very well with my iPhone.

The Retina Macbook Pro is an incredible computer for just about anything you can throw at it. Build quality is great, no squeaky hinges or misaligned junctions, just solid aluminum construction. The Retina screen is beautiful. When I heard people say that after you've used one for a while it makes you notice how blurry and imprecise other screens are I thought they were being hyperbolic but they're not. Once you get used to this screen you have no desire to use another laptop without one. Photos are beautiful and fonts are crisp. With the 128GB SSD storage and the 8 Gigs of RAM everything is incredibly fast and load times are pretty non-existent. Cold boot to desktop is under 20 seconds. As with all Mac's the only real downside is the price but if you're able to justify the expense I would pick one up over any comparable laptop.

This is my first MacBook ever! I took back 2 Windows OS laptops before finally deciding it was time for an upgrade. I was spending just as much PLUS buying Microsoft Office for the Lenovo laptops I just purchased. My roommate suggested this MacBook so I went back and got it. It was on sale, $200 off at the time and it already had pre-installed software, so I was saving $130 on top of that. I knew there would be a learning curve as I've only ever had Windows. Pages is very similar to Word and it didn't take long to learn. I mostly got this laptop for Internet use, Pages, Photos, and iTunes. I must say it makes me want to get an iPhone now so it's all linked up. The screen resolution is fantastic. Setup was super simple. Connected to my wireless printer with ease. The battery lasts a few days unplugged so that's a MAJOR plus. Don't ask me anything about the specs cause I couldn't tell you. Everything loads very fast. The only downside I can see is user error. Meaning I have no idea what I can do with this thing but it works for what I need it for!

Turns on and of in seconds! Literally silent, never hear any noise. Quick processing and page loading. Fastest downloads I have ever seen. Sturdy and reliable all around. Great screen resolution. Not heavy, perfect for student or professional.

At first I was a bit iffy about buying such an expensive computer versus just buying an hp but as soon as I opened the box I knew I made the right choice this computer is so beautiful and runs so smoothly I can't see myself with anything else

This is my first MacBook Pro. I know it's expensive and it's expected of Apple, but I'm still sticker shocked. BUT considering that other SSD running Windows was getting to be $1000 or more really made me think about a MacBook. I had a Toshiba that lasted 7 years. I still love it. Apparently this is unheard of for Windows machines. Even before then the drivers weren't being installed correctly and it was so slow. I know Macs are great, and they last a long time. I have an iPhone, and everything just synced together once I logged in with my apple ID. I would recommend this product, especially since other SSDs are about the same price as Apple at this point.

Finally decided to take the plunge and update my 7-year-old Dell. I wanted to go with the MacBook book because I have other Apple products (iPhone and iPad) and I wanted my computer to be connnected with those. The display is stunning! The design is sleek and lightweight, but feels really strong. I love Numbers so much that I'm not using Excel anymore either. There is obviously a learning curve switching over from a PC, but it isn't nearly as bad as I though it would be. Fantastic laptop... I will only buy Macs from now on!
