First mac ever.

Never using a Windows computer again

You will need some extras like a cd drive and back up machine. There are still glitches here and there but nothing like the mess that Windows computers have become today.

Being a longtime Blackberry and PC guy, I wasn't too interested in anything Apple. This was a gift from my wife that lead me to purchasing two iPhones, a MacBook Air, iPad and Apple TV. Apple delivers simplicity, security, beauty and beyond years technology that cannot be matched. This MBP will fuction for years and maintain its relevance due to the technology it pertains, i.e. PCI flash storage, 802.11ac, USB 3.0 and Thunderbolt 2. While the rest will slowly incorporate these technologies into their products Apple will always be years ahead. This is a great investment, in my opinion, having gone through many laptops that last a few years I can attest that a MBP will last longer and outperform all other devices for the price.
