I have never owned a Mac before, I've always had a Dell or HP. However, we do own iPhones and an iPad. My previous Windows laptops never lasted more than a few years, therefore I wanted something built to last. I love the Mac. I was afraid it would be difficult to get used to the new operating system, but it was not at all. The fact that it syncs with my iPhone has been outstanding. I was hesitating to purchase because I went from a 17" screen down to 13" with the Apple, but the Retina display is so crisp, it really has not been an issue. I am very satisfied with this product.

Great high powered laptop very light and fast my daughter uses it for School hopefully it will last through college.

If you are currently in a dilemma and have to choose between Macbook Pro Retina vs Macbook Pro, I highly highly recommend the retina. I was in that situation a few months back. Yes, the retina is a few extra hundred dollars more, but it's definitely worth the investment. At first, I got the Macbook pro, but the battery life was really poor. It would only last 5 hours instead of the advertised 7 hours. Also as applications are getting updated, the pro doesn't run the programs at optimal speed, the retina pro does though! (In this case I'm referring to Adobe Creative Suites)

This is my first MacBook and I love it. Don't miss the cd drive and it feels so much lighter than its predecessor. Only thing I'm worried about is less storage.

Easily portable so that you can take it anywhere you need. The charge also lasts very long so that you can take it to school without needing to bring a charger?

This is my first Apple computer ever! Absolutely amazing. Very smooth and fast and a battery life that doesn't disappoint either. No complaints whatsoever.

This MBP is Apple's bread and butter. The screen is remarkable, the speed is fast and lasts almost 10 hours on a single charge. Would definitely recommend.

The macbook pro is a the perfect powerhouse for professionals on the go! It is lightweight with crystal clear graphics and a delight to use. I give it an A+

I recently purchased this MacBook Pro to replace my 4 year old HP laptop that crashed on me. I love almost everything about this laptop.The size is good. The laptop just feels premium when holding it. The processor is fast, and the display is great. I'm not sure that I'm getting 9 hours of battery life out of it (as advertised). But, other than that, I'm loving it so far!

I've used Macbook Pros for the past 8 years. I've loved my other machines and have gotten a lot of life out of each of them. This was to replace a 2013 model that was/is still going strong. I was looking for something a little faster. Here are the plusses: -boots really fast compared to my old machine -Retina display is Wow! Didn't think this would matter to me, but it is stunning and so easy to read -speakers are improved over the previous versions, FWIW Downsides: -still expensive compared to similarly priced PCs, though the life of these machines seems to make it worthwhile -the keyboard sits a little too low. I'm sure I'll adjust to it, but I've made a lot of typos since buying this machine.

My daughter is a graphic arts major and loves her new Mac Book Pro! Memory, ease of use and size are huge bonuses for this computer! Graphics are awesome!

I have had the macbook pro for about five months now and I haven't had any problems with it. It's expensive, but it runs great and it's worth the money.

I've just had it for over a month, so there is not a whole lot I can say regarding its durability. However, I am happy with my Macbook so far. I personally like the wifi connectivity of the Macbook. My office is at the farthest end of the hall, where the wifi signal is weak, and my previous lenovo could not connect to wifi. I have had no such problem with the Macbook. Besides, I prefer the Mac OS to windows as it is more compatible with the linux OS I use in my office. Overall look is better than the windows machines in the same price range. My main priority in a computer is durability, so I'll have to wait two more years to give a better analysis. In terms of speed, I can run programs on this machine from home that I had to run through vpn when I had my lenovo, so I consider it an upgrade. The reason for 4 stars is that I do not have sufficient information to give it a perfect score.

My only regret about this product is that I should have bought the one with the bigger hard drive. This machine boots up EXTREMELY fast like an iPhone! I absolutely love it and even though I bought it for 2x the cost of of a Windows based laptop, it will last more than twice as long as the Windows machine! When I run VMware fusion on it, my battery will last 5 or 6 hours!!

Love the Apple Macbook pro. I saved a little bit $$ it was on special price when I bought it. Very easy to use and efficient. Light weight was a must!

Since switching to Mac's about 7 years ago, I'll never got back to a PC. This computer is easy to use from when I first turned it on, fast and reliable.

I love this laptop. It's always with me everywhere I go. Fits really nice in a everyday backpack, descently light and keeps a charge for weeks at a time.

This is the Greatest laptop I have ever had. The Retina Display is amazing. The sound quality of the speakers are also really good. It gets any task done.
