This is an excellent MacBook for students.

Her PC was basically caput and had too much bloatware to function reliably. I told her this has to last through high school -- and I think it will serve her well. Sales staff were very helpful at highlighting features of various macs and laptop pc for us to do comparison.

Great Computer for school

However I am having trouble with certain programs not working properly due to the websites requirements not being able to support the new MAC updates. I would honestly recommend waiting until your in between semesters to change to a MAC if you have a windows just so you can figure out what programs will work with the new MAC software. But I would definitely recommend this computer over a windows any day. Apple support is ten Times better if you problem and getting it resolved than windows. Also this computer has a back lit keyboard so it's perfect for doing homework in the dark if your rommate wants some sleep.
