Although the mac is more expensive it comes with antivirus in it already where as with a Microsoft or dell you have to buy the virus program. This laptop has the best software in the game right now. Lets not forget with iCloud it's really hard for you to lost pictures and login information.

The Apple MacBook is a great computer with plenty of ram. The hard drive is adequate but with external and thumb drive storage availabile at such a large amount the internal hard drive is fine. The last apple computer I bought is till working after 7 years and happy with both computers to date.

I give 3/5 stars because no, it won't wow you. In fact I was quite underwhelmed with the lack of EU-apparent speed that it has. Also and mostly, I am not sure what Apple's problem is with designing touch-screen capabilities in their laptops, seeing as they are leaders in tablet technology. Aside from those major issues, if you know how to navigate Apple's OS then this might be for you. It is very thin and lightweight, but don't expect this to be a speedy laptop.

Swapping to Apple from PC. Like security features of Apple without having to buy "stuff." Some learning curve going on. Much more intuitive than Windows.

Most of what I needed to learn about using this laptop was easily deduced while just browsing different functions. I am still making decisions about a few changes to how the geek squad set it up for me as I discover what use I will have for this unit. The processing speed is phenomenal!

our granddaughter is a star student with big goals for college and she is actually the one that had her eyes on a Mac Book! After receiving nothing but A-B, in the 2015-2016 school year, this was a Birthday present that she loved / loves and something that will help her as she continues school.

This is the first time I've used/owned a Macbook and I love it! I have not had any issues since purchasing it a couple of months ago. Solid, reliable, and great response time. I use this strictly for home use so I am happy. The kids have been using it for school work and have had no complaints!

After my disappointments with many other brands desktop and laptop computers, I am finally happy with my purchase of this Apple laptop computer. I am not only happy with this purchase but I have full confidence that this one will not disappointed me. I am sorry I did not buy it before.

I bought this for black friday and no regrets, i have always being a windows user but switching over to mac book pro is one of the best decisions. Quality is beyond what i thought and it did not take me that long to get used to it, i am totally in loved with my unit. Highly recommended.

I wasn't sure what to expect from this laptop, but it has exceeded any expectations. One of the reasons I chose it was because it still had the USB, Thunderbolt 2 and SDXC ports. Being able to use the SDXC port to add memory to the laptop was ideal given the size of the onboard drive.

This is our first Mac and thus far we're impressed. We have enjoyed the great clarity in the screen and the available tutorials have been very helpful!

Apple products are highly rated, but I'm a basic laptop user and was very disappointed to find out that there's no CD slot in this very expensive computer. Had to pay extra for an external CD/DVD drive!

Love this laptop. Best buy has classes for getting the most out of your laptop. This was the deciding factor for me to go ahead with an Apple product, as I was afraid that I would have trouble learning to use it on my own. The classes have been very helpful. It's a Mac, whats not to love?!!

This is a great computer for the money. It has several connections for other devices which the new MacBooks do not have. It is a little slower because of the motherboard and processors it is currently using. It does not have a Aretha Display but I appreciate it having a cd/DVD rom drive.

Great Device, beautifully designed, only con is the small capacity storage, 120GB nowadays is Nothing, i guess is a form of apple to pressure You to go with the iCloud storage and and it services, but they are going to cost you.

The Mac reputation precedes itself and it certainly proved true once again. The Apple support team is awesome and very sharp. The computer works hard for the user and does so many things even though I am a new owner and only use the computer for simple jobs. Anyone would love this laptop!

I have have bought 2 MBP - both from Best Buy. I appreciate best buys competitive promotions. For us, we are all apple and it works better than the PC.

I never had a mac laptop before and I am in love ! I love how it works with all my Apple product . I had to take time to learn how things are done on it verses windows and I'm still learning but I love it ! Cool thing to is I have a Apple Watch and it will unlock it for me !!
