I bought this MacBook Pro after my very old one failed. I am glad to hear they now have a solid state hard drive, but was shocked to get it home and find there is no optical drive, which must be bought separately. I am happy so far but need to learn more. I plan on taking advantage of the great offer from Best Buy to meet with a Geek Squad team member for some introductory instruction,

I love my Mac! It's perfect for all my needs as well as a great value for the price. The only draw back is that there isn't a disk drive so I had to buy an external disk drive to go with it!

Took several visits to the store to finally make the switch to a Mac. Both sales associates were extremely informed. Explanations were very detailed and gave me the confidence to make purchase .

As always apple product is well built and performs as advertised. Only drawback is lack of Ethernet connection, had to buy an adapter for hardwire connection as wifi can be spotty in dorm.

I upgraded from my Macbook Pro 2012 but wanted more of a computer than a MacBook Air.

Apple is by far the best laptop money can buy. It has the best and smoothest interface and the quality never fails. We got this as an open-box item and we don't regret saving almost $500!

I bought the new Mac Book Pro, top of the line, hoping to have it replace my current video editing setup as well as to use for a programming consulting job. The new Mac Book Pro had endless issues. I returned it and got the minimum Mac Book Pro to do my programming job. It works fine. More stable and better value than the new Mac Book Pros. For less intensive work, this computer is fine.

Picked this up as an upgrade for my wife's computer after her old original mac book bit the dust. Much needed upgrade and this new computer is wonderful
