I have had this laptop for around 2 months now; I always like to use my product for a while before reviewing. In short, this laptop is excellent. It can handle LoL very well (the only game I really play), WoW decently (more of an estimate than an actual experience based assertion), and renders videos on iMovie faster than I ever could have expected (>10 min. for best quality video). If this is enough for you, quit reading now; I plan to continue with my choices leading up to the purchase of the computer and a few of the bugs that i noticed upon first working the computer. I was originally looking into buying a windows 10 laptop (Asus ROG) because i have an xbox one and wanted to stream games to my laptop. The more I looked into gaming laptops the more options appeared and eventually i became overwhelmed with the purchase of a PC. Too many questions came to mind: What if I get home and I don't like it after a few months? What if i can't edit video like i want to? What about my iPhone, PC and iPhone don't pair well?!?! Ultimately, my wife, in all of her wifely wisdom, said, "Babe, just go with the one that feels right." Since I had been using Apple for 4 years at this point, Asus just fell by the wayside and I chose this beauty. Now that I have, I am happier with it than I ever thought I would be. My wife, who swore off Apple laptops around a year or two ago, has used this several times and regrets her decision to buy a PC. When I got home and had been working on my computer with various things for several days, I noticed a few bugs. Wifi was crashing every now and then, computer would reboot at will, safari wouldn't work correctly, etc. They didn't happen often enough for me to return the computer, just enough to be slightly annoying. However, I haven't noticed any of these problems persisting since I downloaded El Capitan. Computer works like a dream! Ultimately, I am so grateful for my wife who decided to be a part of my computer buying experience and I am grateful to Mac for allowing such a great computer to go at such a great price!

I have to say the model I got was the late 2014. I got it in Mar. of this year. This is my first computer. I have enjoyed it From day one. A few friends and my brother recommend MacBook Pro. I'm glad I listen to them. It has opened a whole new world for me. I learn something new almost every day. Its easy to use. If you need help AppleCare is a phone call away. I think MacBook Pro is the way to go. They Are Not Cheap. You Get What You Pay For. If you want the BEST you have to pay for it. Thats why I maid the investment and I think It will last a long time. Take the Best Buy 15 day Trail . Keep an open mind you won't be sorry.

I was hesitant about purchasing this Computer due to the the price, but after multiple Windows computer over the past decade, I could have paid for this long time ago. This computer surprised me with the durability of the all day use without being tethered to a power cord. The Window Migration was seamless. If you are in the hunt for a good computer, Don't look any further. This computer will meet any demands or needs......

I had this product for 8 years and it never failed me I recently updated and handed this down to a friends son he loves it.

Purchased for my son in advance of college to replace an older, larger laptop with much less functionality. He has used it every day since purchase vs. his older, slower laptop - a pretty indicator of his enjoyment with the product. Similarly, our daughter has the same laptop which convinced us to purchase the same.

After switching from Windows, I can see the difference in the performance. This is the best performing laptop I have seen being a developer. The only concern is the storage, with the SSDs the higher storage options are costlier , but I found an alternative jetdrive lite to extent the storage.

I bought this laptop for college and I couldn't be happier. Even though I haven't set foot on campus yet, i am so happy that I bought this. I can tell that it will last a very long time. At first though, I was very weary at buying this product because of the price, but if you throw out the price of a Macbook, this laptop is perfect. It comes with programs so you won't need to download things such as Microsoft or anything like that. You can buy it and walk out and feel great knowing that you can open it up and use it for whatever you want. Another reason why I was hesitant to buy this laptop was because everyone, even Best Buy associates, told me because of its different operating system, it is so hard to use compared to a PC but in fact that wasn't the case. Now that I know a few things, I actually feel like a Macbook is much easier than a PC. I know that if you are reading this and you are deciding between any other laptop, this one is the way to go. I love this and this was the best purchase I have ever made.

Purchased only 4 weeks ago but after one week the display intermittently freezes up and goes gray. Happens 3 or 4 times a week and powering down does not always fix the problem. The Apple store is over an hour away and have not had time to take it in. Tried the online help but they were unable to help.

Best trackpad you can get on a laptop. The gestures are amazing allowing fluid switching between multiple tasks. Spotlight search is perfect for every little query that i have. The display is gorgeous without overdoing it. The battery life is 10 hours of amazing. Love this computer!!!

Recently purchased a 13.3 Macbook Pro Retina. Used to be a windows user and everyone around me has the older Macbook Pro's. Absolutely love my new laptop. Its fast, super clear, and is made out of very good quality materials. Will not be disappointed with the purchase of this laptop.

This MacBook with it's crystal clear Retina display is powerful, fast, and looks stunning. It is pretty thin and light too. Got this computer for business and some general use around the house and so far I am loving it. Battery life is great, and has a quick charge.

Freezes alot very unsatisfied. Returning yo buy new one

what else can I say? for the same price with other garbage macbook 12", this one is such a great macbook to stay with. It's powerful, aesthetic, lightweight, fast, and charming. New feature of force touchpad is also another excellent part to start with.

From gaming, to browsing the internet, to watching netflix, to editing pictures and video, this computer is great for everything. It's 8gb RAM memory allows it to be super fast and reliable and run several programs at once. The screen is also amazing, you can truly see the pixel count difference (as compared to a Macbook Air), Apple has done a great job with that. The battery is decent enough, it'll last through a day of regular use. The OS operating system is a big change from windows, you'll certainly feel weird if you've never used it before but it won't be long before you feel comfortable with the computer. The design is the best, let the pictures speak for themselves!

I previously had a Surface Pro 3 for roughly two years. It crashed and I was in the market for a new computer. I was at first hesitant to go to a MacBook but now I don't think I could go back to a PC. The MacBook Pro is amazing and does everything I need and more. The Retina display is beautiful, it is very fast, and overall reliable. I do not usually write reviews but I could not not write one based on how great this laptop is. I HIGHLY recommend to anyone thinking about purchasing a new computer. You will NOT be disappointed.

Sounds pretty good with music, but on a phone call you only hear out of one ear piece which is very distracting. The battery runs down extremely fast. Big disappointment for $200 plus...I would have expected this type issues with the $49 units.

I had this for less than 30 days and returned it because 2 of the buttons wouldn't work and the battery life was awful. Maybe I got a bad one but I was not paying that much money for this. I went and got the one below it.

I have never been a fan of Apple products but after doing some research I decided to purchased a Macbook pro. Some of the key features that caught my attention was the amount of software you get with this laptop. iMovie and Garage band, just to name a few, are very useful tools if you are looking to be productive. Unlike Pc, Apple does not include a lot of bloatware which makes getting to know your Mac a lot easier. As a Windows user my entire life I found the transition to Mac Os to be simple and fun. Apple has outdone itself by keeping the user in mind to deliver a simple, yet productive, experience. So far, the more I learn to navigate around Mac Os the more I appreciate what Apple has accomplished. I look forward to getting to know my Mac.
