I got the lower end because I'll spend most the time connected to a HDTV doing basic things. This computer has a small solid state hard drive which is fine because you can get a large external drive via USB 3.0/Thunderbolt and get great read/write speeds. Screen is very sharp although small than my 27-inch imac and 17-inch MacBook Pro. I will say everything is very snappy with the SSD, quick boot times, etc. Great purchase. If you need a CD drive you can get a cheap 30 dollar one vs the super drive.

Love this laptop. Purchased for my daughter who's heading off to college. Lightweight, easy to transport, and syncs with all of her Apple products. Very easy set up, and very fast processor.

In the past 5 years I've bought so many laptops. All five of them can't compare to the speed or just in general to what this laptop can do. All the money I've spent in the past laptops would of saved me a lot of money by getting a Mac front he start

I love my MacBook I take it with me everywhere so I can do homework on the go. It is fast, vibrant, easy to use (took some transition time from Windows laptop) and also can keep up with my life

What more can you say - Apple products are amazing! Especially for graphics use - and runs games great! But mainly got this to do video production/editing. Apple just handles graphics rendering much better than PC. Apple laptops are VERY expensive, but to get a comparable PC for what I am doing would cost 5x as much.

LIGHTWEIGHT AND COMPACT AND PERFECT FOR MY COLLEGE

I bought this laptop for my little sister. She will be entering high school next year. I currently have the MBP 13 with touch bar. Apple has always been for me a company that makes products that last and I have many friends that still have MacBook pros from 3, 4 ,5 + years ago. I got her the older model because the base model 2016 MBP only is running 2.0GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 vs the 2015 MBP running 2.7GHz dual-core Intel Core i5. It runs great and nothing beats the classic silver and lit apple logo. I do more traveling then her so I went with the newer, slimmer model. I recommend the 2015 MPB to any family on a budget with a student that needs something that will last.

fast, Super satisfied, easy to use, Color is great

A little pricy, but for the type of work I do it's just what I needed. It's quick and flawless up to this point. If you want a hassle free computing experience, this is the machine for you.

This is my first Mac. I was worried that it would hard to use after using PCs for so many years, but it was really easy. Everything transferred really well, and it's so nice to have my iPad, iPhone, and Mac all talk to each other. I even backed up all the PDF files on my iPad to iTunes using the file sharing feature.

great laptop well worth the money. i recently upgraded from a macbook that i bought back in 2007. I was unsure if i wanted the pro, new macbook or air. After speaking with a rep and looking at the specs the difference in money was worth it to go ahead and get the pro edition. i plan on having this laptop for many years

Great Sound - made use of the Bose 20I quiet comfort on a long Haul flight. Awesome experience . Must have for every traveller who likes to travel "Ligh" I had the earlier version over the "ears" Bose model which made it difficult to sleep on a flat bed.... This one is so easy to sleep off with the "in ear" headphones

I am that guy that is always looking for a deal and have purchased several computers and rebuilt them only to be disappointed by speed or storage or software but this is amazing... cannot find a complaint

My son was in need of a computer upgrade for college. He had a PC and wanted to try Mac. I am Mac-illiterate, so I knew nothing about them. (still don't!) But he picked it up and immediately knew how to navigate the system. Says that is has been very user friendly for school and has a solid system for videos, etc.

Apple has done it again. The retina display is awesome. The laptop is much thinner than the first Macbook Pro. It is a great upgrade and very fast.

This was my 5th computer in my lifetime, but the first Mac I have ever had (my kids recommended it!) With just a little help initially, I learned to navigate pretty easily and am enjoying how "cleanly" it operates and how beautiful is the screen!
