I was looking to replace my MacBook Air with something similar. I shopped for several days and reviewed laptops both PC and Mac and couldn't find anything that can guarantee me no lagging or issues for day to day medium use like the MacBook Pro. Love the Retina display and force touch is pretty cool

While at Best Buy, I decided to "glance" at the new MACs. No intention to purchase a new MAC but this one was an Open Box, and I couldn't resist. So glad I did. Clear, fast, easy to use. . . And it cost quite a bit less than if it came in a box! What a great deal. I love it!!!

Loving the laptop. It's sleeker and lighter than the previous versions. The screen size is perfect for everyday use... wish it can be partners with Microsoft for office suites rather than pages, keynotes, numbers, etc. Although you can convert it, it doesn't do me any good when it comes to print.

I love the look and feel of this laptop. It's is so compact but yet does everything you need it to do. The screen is amazing the sound is great and the size and weight are awesome

This was bought of my daughter who just left for college and she has had no problems with learning to use it as well as how lightweight and easy it is to use

Best computer I ever owned. I had been looking at this one at Apple Store, but Best Buy had a sell that I could not pass up. The fact they started selling AppleCare helped also. I have used their Greek squad policy before on a PC, but I know Apple only one that can really work on Apple products.

This is my first mac and it Works great. It has a long battery life, super fast and is easy to figure out. I did have to spend some time learning it but overall I'm very pleased!

This is my first Mac and I was fearful as to how well I would be able to adjust after using only PCs my entire life; however, within the first couple of days, I had the hang of it and LOVED it. It is so much easier to use than my PC. Wonderful purchase. Only wish that I had not waited so long.

This is my first Mac and it is amazing. I am not new to apple products as I own an iPhone and iPad so the transition from a Windows laptop to the Mac hasn't been a problem for me. It is a little more expensive that other laptops but well worth the extra money. I highly recommend this laptop.

This is amazing! I can edit videos and it is pretty simple to work. This is my first MacBook, and I love it so much! I am super happy with my purchase! I looked long and hard for the perfect computer. This is a great computer for anyone that wants to edit videos, and also just surf the web

I've been using my old macbook pro 15.4" for almost 10 years now and to be honest there's nothing wrong with it, but considering that I couldn't update past OS X Lion and the battery only held ~1 hour of charge, it was time for a new Mac. I was playing with MacBook Air (great machine) and the new 12" MacBook (to small/light in my opinion), I've decided to go with the base version of MacBook Pro with Retina Display and I was not disappointed. Perfect size. Great speed & performance. Has everything I need and more.

Having upgraded from a Dell to this is a little change, in a good way. Getting use to Apple systems which seem pretty easy to adapt to. No issues at all with computer or programs. Battery life is excellent along with screen clarity. Only thing I would do differently is get one with bigger screen.

This machine is AWESOME, I have had three other laptops and nothing them come close to this. The graphics are beautiful, the design, my MacBook takes my iPhone calls(excited the first time it did that). I just wish it took or used the latest office software. This by far is the best purchase ever.

Everything is just perfect. It has a much better battery than my old one. Also, it makes no noise at all. I was reluctant to change to a macbook because I think I'm used to windows computer. However, it turns out to be super easy to learn and I am now having trouble switch back to my old one.

I bought this for college and it has not disappointed me. It is fast, light, has a beautiful screen, and its build quality is unmatched. Would defiantly recommend for a student.

it's hard at first to learn everything if you've never used one. But once you learn it it's fine. I love mine more than my old Sony. The screen isn't as big but I think it's worth it since it connects to my phone and iPad easier. It's very light and easy to use. I take it to class everyday.

Nothing at this price beats the retina mac, simply amazing. Its quick and has a beautiful screen. Definitely no slouch when doing processor intensive talks either. Obviously not the best for gaming since it has no dedicated GPU, but then this laptop isnt aimed at gamers either. Great machine.

You just can't go wrong with a Mac. Durability. Speed. Longevity. My daughter loves the iMovie for editing. The apps that I purchase on my other apple products work on this too. Best buy is the place to purchase this because the sale price is cheaper than the Apple Store. Thanks Best Buy!

Great computer! Easy to use the newest repeating system. Design is even sleeker than before. When not streaming videos, the battery lasts almost all day.

I was super hesitant at first because it is discontinued. I called Apple and I was reassured that just because it was discontinued doesn’t mean that is a bad computer! The only difference between the new one and this one is a small increase in Speed. I was also told by Apple that it had more to do with 4K video editing and editing sorftware than anything. I do not do those types of things so I didn’t have to worry. This has been an amazing computer and am so glad I went with this over the other MacBooks that I was looking at. It charges so quickly and the battery lasts for ever!
