Bought this as a gift. I have the same mode only 3 years older and mine still works great. Used as a day to day internet browser, occasional document editing, occasional photo editing. Works great. I've just now ran out of storage room after three years which is fine because now our two MacBooks can sync up to the Bluetooth time capsules apple makes. Amazing display with the retina screen.

I love this macbook. It's fast and has enough memory to do anything that I need. Graphics are great. Solid state drive makes everything so much faster than my desktop.

A review going from Windows to Mac--since my Apple IIe in the 1980's Have been an Iphone user since the 3gs--currently have the 7 and 6s. Thought it might be a good time to jump to a mac or an imac just to make the iphone backups simpler and to keep from having to "fix" the computer's at home. The packaging was typical apple, simple but sturdy and functional. (I actually did not unbox the computer my daughter did, I just cleaned up the boxes after I got home)---it was a well earned reward for her accomlishments It was a simple setup just inputing the apple ID and it brought down all of her apps and she was ready to go. The display was clear and the the keyboard felt comfortable during use. At first it was difficult for me to get used to the icons and terminology, but it is very intuitive like the Iphones. (since I have been dealing w/ windows 98,Xp, vista, 7,8, 10) I am sure my Windows PC's are just as easy to use for me, however the ease of use for my daughter and the rest of the family made the purchase worthwhile. (example Time Machine= System backup..etc) Liked it so much I ended up buying another one few days later. One caveat for this model, they are not upgradable, unlike previous versions, but I figured that is why I purchased a Mac for my daughter so I do not have to "fix" it. :-) Contemplating extending the applecare for her...

This is my first Macbook and I love it.I mostly use it to write and stream online. I am loving the sleek, light aesthic and the good battery life.

I was torn between buying a Microsoft Surface vs. the MacBook Pro. When I actually played with both of them, it was a no brainer. The MacBook Pro wins hands down.

Even better new and improved model of the Apple MacBook. The picture is amazing, so bright and clear. I had the older model and honesty didn't think it would be that big of a difference with the new one, but I am pleasantly surprised. The keyboard is great. And it weighs nothing! Would definitely buy again.

I purchase this MacBook Pro to replace the original MacBook Air. Best Buy.com has it on sale and I can pick up easily in my local store. Great and powerful laptop.
