After looking at the new MacBook, the Air, and the MacBook Pro 15", this one seems to hit the sweet spot. Screen is almost as big as the 15" but beats it on price and portability. A little bit bigger and more expensive than the Air, but has Retina display and more power. A little more expensive and less portable than the MacBook, but has more than one input, more power, and better keyboard.

I love my new computer! The solid state drive is so much faster. The set up process is so easy if you've had a Mac before and took no time at all to start using my new computer. I also love that the new computers come with Pages and Numbers so that my documents can easily be synced on iCloud and pulled up on my iPhone to edit and view. I am very happy with my purchase and am a Mac user for life!

Having purchased several Apple products over the years, it is difficult to be surprised by their ease of use and quality. That said, this MacBook Pro was purchased for our son who had used a traditional laptop throughout high school. The transition was near effortless and he raves about his new machine. I was skeptical about the value of the Retina display, but it does make a big difference.

I have been needed a trustworthy laptop for my doctoral work and this computer has lived up to the demands I have placed upon it. It is a lot faster than my previous laptops. The picture is crystal clear, even on battery power. The battery lasts all day and it recharges quickly. I highly recommend this computer for anyone needing their computer for more than email and social media.

This is a fast computer. It easily handles multiple windows open and functions happening simultaneously. The picture is also amazing. This is the 4th apple computer I have purchased and they just keep getting better and better. I have not really tested out the battery life yet. Worth every penny!

This is major switch from windows operating system but I absolutely love it. It is fast and very easy to use. The only draw back is the scrolling up and down and the fact that I had to buy a dvd writer but other than that this computer works like a dream. An added bonus I GOT IT ON SALE. SCORE!!!!!

The macBook pro is very impressive. As compared to windows and android based laptops it shows that apple has gone the extra step to provide superior easy of functionality and professional features that set this device apart. Also ,It is very fast and lightweight. There is no need to apply 3rd party applications because all the functionality you need is included by default.

Bought the MacBook Pro because I needed a laptop for school. This MacBook Pro is the gold standard laptops. It's very easy to use, loads up instantly and I have not had any problems or issues. Syncs seamlessly with other Apple products (iPhone and iTunes) It's a little pricier than other laptops on the market, but it's reliability and versatility is a real bonus.

Trackpad sensitivity and performance, Mountain Lion is easy to use and intuitive, Keyboard has excellent travel, Performs with little lag, Screen is bright, has wide viewing angles, Battery life is great. This is my first macbook. I decided to go Apple after having an iPhone for a while and being completely satisfied. I recently purchased the 13" retina 8g ram & 256g hard drive model. It is an amazing machine. It is smooth, fluid, with no issues whatsoever, not to mention reliability. Yes it is not cheap but if you have a look at comparable pc's with similar specs, it is not that bad. The reason why Apple products are more expensive is simply because they are better! You get what you pay for. I would also like to mention that I have made full use of the "boot camp" software on the machine which divides your hard drive to allow the use of windows as well. I use a cad design program which unfortunately only works on windows. This happens to work extremely well and guess what? Best of both!!

First time macbook user. Have had a variety of PC laptops over the years. While my last laptop was an old PC just the user interface on this program is world's ahead. The laptop is fast and can handle all your multitasking needs. The display is gorgeous, the speakers loud, and I love the 720p camera for Skype calls. Very happy with the start of my MacBook experience.

Nice to travel with, does not get hot during use. Good battery life.

I have always owned a Windows laptop until now. I decided to get a MacBook and chose to purchase it at Best Buy because of the rewards points and also because it was on sale. Can't beat that price! I am still learning how to use it but love the fast performance this laptop has to offer. Love the retina display and now I can edit videos and pictures with no lag time.

Performance is great and Retina screen is beautiful, but I am not sure if it is was worth the premium price. If money is no option, it is fantastic, but there may be comparable options at a lower price.

I love this macbook. It runs great compared to my old windows run lenovo. That laptop has basically died (3 years since purchase). I am banking on this lasting longer as my friend has a pro he has been using for 5 years and now looking to replace. And I got an excellent deal with the student discount and the person helping me gave me the online price in store.

This MacBook Pro not only has the top screen on the Apple product line in a laptop, it's equipped with 256GB SSD storage, which allows the computer to start and shut down much quicker than many other computers. The 256GB storage is a much better option for college students because you never know what you'll need for a specific class or even an entire major.

The speed is incredible! It's lightweight and perfect for travel!
