This MacBook is perfect for email, surfing the net, and homework. My daughter loves it. She is now a junior at the university and depends on it for completing many assignments. Great product.

I wouldn't classify myself as a power user by any stretch of the imagination, however with that said technology is constantly changing and evolving. Looking at the Macbook and Macbook Air their specifications seem adequate now but in 3 years how well will they still function? These new Macbooks can't be upgraded so you need to consider how well this will function not just now but into the future. I had to replace my Mid 2010 Macbook Pro because Apple officially sent that version in to obsolescence in March. Which is unfortunate because I had put in a 500gb SSD and 8gb of RAM. I honestly feel this is a downgrade from that version, there's no optical drive and I can't upgrade anything on it. The major improvements in 6 years are the display, graphics card and force touch (which I don't use). If I didn't need to have OSX I wouldn't buy a Macbook, quite frankly their overpriced and locked down anymore.

I highly recommend this macbook. I have tried numerous other brands but lets face it there is nothing like a macbook. Its reliable fast to start and all the other types can't quite compete.

The laptop is great so far. It has a light weight which is easy for me to carry around and the graphics on the machine is pretty decent. Watching videos on the machine is very enjoyable.

While the price tag is high, so far the performance is as well. Easy to navigate computer even coming from years with a PC. I will update in a few years to see if it is really worth it.

I love to go shopping at Best Buy they have the best Products and good customer service I bought my MacBook Pro retina there and boy was I happy I like the fact when your elite member you have 30 days to try something if you don't like it you can bring it back that is the best store policy ever to become an elite member and have to get a certain number of points you have to buy from Best Buy a lot and if you like to play games they got a membership for $30 all new games for 47 Plus tax you can't beat that for Brand new game Will give it a try I promise you will like it and it will get you set up whatever you need don't be afraid to ask if you're unsure of something

I love this laptop because it has everything I need for the next adventure in my life. This laptop is great for students going to college or for professionals who need a heavy-duty laptop.

Overal it's a great computer . I really enjoy it. I use it mainly for music production big its really slick makes us want to use it all day!

Great lightweight laptop. The stability of apples operating system is what drew me to it. Its a shame the new ones have not been released yet but needed a laptop fast so made the plunge

Expensive but well built. This is my second PB Pro but also having issues connecting to my Thunderbolt display (seems to be a known issue). Get it on sale for sure.

This computer is a life saver for my college age son. Light weight so he can take to class if needed, great graphics and fun to sue. We expect this computer will last several years - YEAH!

Long awaited thing Always wanted MacBook for high performance and less weight

I am new to the Apple world of products but I am finding the Macbook Pro pretty easy to learn. It is well made and the screen is beautiful.

I love my new Mac computer. I have had four previous mac laptops and this one is by far the fastest! I have to get used to the new track pad but the power of this machine is incredible.

I love the retina screen. I have terrible eyes that are sensitive to light etc and this screen is easier for me to use. When I have finished my eyes aren't as sore as they usually are.

Has been working great. At least gives peace of mind as it is less prone to virus and phishing attacks. My son uses it extensively. Battery works for at least 8 hours after full charge

Lightweight, everything functions as advertised. Pleased with it's performance.

This computer is fast upon start-up, shutdown, and when navigating online. Very easy to use and love the Retina display. Highly recommended especially if you're already an iPhone user.

Use the student coupon for your purchase if you qualify, way better deal than the Apple Store. Only had it for a few months and it's been great, hope it lasts...

Great laptop...my daughter is able to work and navigate on multiple tabs while listening to music and do her homework with ease and most importantly for teens, speed...thanks Apple.
