Mac Pro is excellent laptop for long term use. Highly recommend for students

The laptop ran smooth for most programs but I had some issues with it overheating and crashing during certain apps. It ran lickety split during web browsing, but was a little laggy during things like Photoshop CS6.

I love how little the new MacBook weights and the graphics are excellent.

I'm still learning how to use it, but all in all, it's a great computer!

I love this computer. I received it for my birthday to replace my old MacBook from 2009. Very easy to use and great display. Downside it wasn't compatible with my printer but maybe it's time for a printer upgrade too.

This is my second Mac PC. I bought a my first Mac, a Mac Air 11.6" with 4 GB memory and a 256 GB hard drive, about three years ago, and since then I have used it about 95% of the time for both travel and as my primary computer. I had been a Windows user before that. While the Mac Air has been a fabulous machine and has given me no issues, I decided I wanted something with more memory and the Retina screen, and while I absolutely love my MacAir, you can't buy one of those with that display, and there's no way to upgrade the memory in the Air, which is soldered in. I thought about the new MacBooks, but I didn't want to have to deal with the single USB-C port. I considered some Windows machines, but not for very long - I really love the Mac OS and find it more intuitive and easier to use. Even though Windows 10 is improved over 8, I just don't like it enough to go back. This thing is absolutely wonderful. 13" is the right size for me. The screen is obviously gorgeous, but I really love the track pad which is responsive and accurate to finger motions, as well as the keyboard, which took no getting used to. Apple is so much better than most of the Windows PC makers at putting a lot of emphasis on design and ergonomic elements. As with any Mac, a novice user will be able to boot it up right out of the box and learn quickly how to use it without a manual. Doesn't produce a lot of heat and seems very quiet with no fan noise I have noticed. Boot-up is really fast, and the thing otherwise just flies. I really think the 256 GB solid state drive and 8 GB of memory is the best combination for a performance to value ratio. It still has a solid, strong i5 processor, which is more than adequate for most users, and I can't see paying a premium for an i7 based on what I do, which is for the most part to use email, surf the web, watch movies,listed to music, and use office programs like Excel and Word. NO Mac is cheap, but as I have found out since owning one, you get what you pay for. It charges quickly and has lots of ports. I connected to iTunes and downloaded all of my music and movies. The computer automatically accessed my files via iCloud through my Apple ID, and updated all of my software. I was able to easily download all of my apps through the App Store. This is a computer that will be satisfying to use and own, and will do the job for years. Can't go wrong. There's a reason why these machines consistently get extremely high reviews.

What's not to like about the MacBook Pro 13? I love how fast it boots up and is ready to go. The size is a perfect blend of portability and easy viewing. Winner!
