Being a truck driver, this MacBook is excellent for getting online for personal and business, watching movies, etc. Excellent speed, exceptional graphics and great sound.

This is an upgrade for me frpm the older Macbook Pro and this laptop is lighter and much easier to use. I love it!

I am positively thrilled with the purchase of this Macbook Pro. I love the added features I did not have on my Macbook Air such as "air drop." I love the screen clarity and the fact it is so quick to connect to the internet. An added plus with all Apple products is the fact you have the 90-day free help from Apple. It was a breeze to set the Macbook Pro up and I love using it! Thrilled with this purchase.

I bought my first MAC computer and so far Love it. I have always bought DELL until recently . I would usually get several years from my DELL but my last one DIED after just over a year (hard drive fried) and actually I had been having problems with it soon after getting it. I was quite disappointed so I decided to go with a MAC PRO!!!!

It is a reliable laptop. What else you can expect from Apple's product. The laptop I purchased is based on the requirements which were specified by the school I attend. The specification are aimed to have a powerful and reliable tool to aide the learning process. The Apple's laptop has met the expectation. So I am pleased with the laptop I have purchased.

A great computer so far, though my older mac was more able to download applications. Uses Adobe pretty well, nice light-up keyboard, doesn't over-heat easy, worth the price. For a student like me, it's great (especially because I'm a night-owl and need a light-up keyboard).

This is my first Mac, previously I used a Gateway PC. I expect it will take a little usage to get use to.

I brought an apple for the first time. It was a little wierd at the start to operate but later just became the best machine I ever had. Especially when it comes to syncing with the iphine. Makes my life a lot easier.

The new MacBook Pro is amazing! It is smaller, lighter, and faster than any of my older model laptops, and, with the retina display, the image quality is outstanding. My battery life is great as I can use in my local coffee shop without having to fight for a seat next to an outlet. I can do my work effectively and efficiently (and in style) with this new Mac Book Pro. The features of the 2015 model just go to show why Apple is at the top of the game - they know what they are doing! If you plan on purchasing a new laptop soon, I would highly recommend a new Mac. It is an investment which you will be thankful for and reap benefits from for years to come.

I'm coming to this Macbook Pro 13inch Retina laptop from a 2010 model Macbook Air that I absolutely adored for nearly 4 years. The Air was so light and portable that I reluctantly gave it up, but concerns of weight vanished once I got my hands on this beauty. Yes, it's slightly heavier, but only slightly. What I like most of all is how the body isn't tapered from back to front like the Air. It's a solid piece of symmetrical aluminum, and it just feels so well built. One of the reasons I eventually gave up and sold my Air in favor of this was the Retina screen. I've never seen one on the Macbooks, so I bought this sight unseen, but I had a vague idea of how it might look because I also own a retina iPad Mini and that screen is lovely. The screen on the mini is out-done by the amazing screen on this Macbook. I can't believe how good it is. And what's more, this Macbook only cost 100 dollars more than the latest Air. Why would anyone not pay the difference for this screen? It's totally night and day between the Air's screen and this one. The Air is by no means terrible, but it cant compete with this. The audio is also a nice surprise on the Macbook with Retina. It was good on my Air, but it's far better on the Retina. There's no speaker grills either, so I assume they're below the keyboard. Regardless they sound amazing, albeit low on bass. My Air didnt have a backlit keyboard, so this was a nice surprise. No more hunting and hoping at night in bed. Another nice addition I didnt have before was HDMI-out. Now I can simply connect my Macbook to my HDTV and play Hulu on my TV. No reason to pay for Hulu Plus. On my other computer it wouldnt allow Hulu to output to TV, but its not being blocked on the Macbook for some reason. I wont complain.

I bought this as a replacement for my faithful 8 year old MacBook Pro 17, as it was well beyond functional obsolescence. My 8 year old Mac had barely hiccuped, so I have full confidence in this newer Mac. Lightweight, portable, great battery life, awesome graphics. Solid state components instead of a rotational drive, so I expect minimal issues for this updated machine. Sleek and elegant design. I have not had much chance to put it the processor through its paces yet, but with my light demand I'm sure it will do fine. I tried switching back to two different PC laptops last year, but I returned them promptly due to poor quality and performance. My only complaint with this machine, like all other Apple products, is that you pay a premium price. I feel it is about 20% overpriced for what you get, but I know I will have minimum hardware issues, and I will never have to buy virus protection. Hopefully I will be able to upgrade to the 15" MacBook Pro soon. I miss the larger screen, but the 15" was not remotely in my budget this go-round.

I began my entry into computers back in the early 90's when PC's ruled the world. With that being said I've always been somewhat of a PC fanboy but over the last few years my work experience with Mac computers has only fueled the fire to obtain one, however, I do still love my monster of a PC desktop. To date I have several computers, a few Macs and a few PCs and my love for Mac's continues to be on the rise. I purchased the MacBook Pro MF840LL/A mainly for musical purposes as I've been wanting to get into music production and DJ'ing more. While I wish the ram was upgradeable it was something I had to be sure I was ready to move forward with so I opted for the 8GB and the 256GB hard drive and have been very happy with said selection. From what I've read and seen, the read/write speeds of the 256GB vs the 128GB are nearly double, which was another reason for my selection. That and 128 seems extremely small when your used to having a desktop with several TBs. The other thing I had a hard time deciding on was the screen size, while my first Pro was a 15" for work, which sparked my interest towards getting one for my personal use, the price difference was a bit steep along with the size for carrying around. In the end it took some deep thought but the 13" has been great, I just hook it up to an external monitor when I'm working in the studio for additional resolution sizes when working with Ableton. To date I've had this laptop for a couple months now, the screen is beautiful, process is fast and it's just fun to use compared to PC laptops. Not to mention the weight! It's surprisingly light compared to older models and I have to say this is probably my favorite feature of the new Mac Book Pros. I would recommend this specific computer to anyone who is considering the purchase of one. Additionally, do yourself a favor, if you're looking at the 128GB, just spend the extra few bucks and get the 256, the option to change out the SSD sticks for larger 3rd party ones is still a bit on the high side.

This is the nicest laptop I've ever used. Did it cost too much? Yes. Does it perform well, look nice and is light weight? Yes. I did buy Apple care and would recommend the same. Laptops are a pain to fix, and for the amount of money spent, it's worth buying the extra piece of mind. The only issue I have is that you can't upgrade the memory or storage, as they're both soldered on to the motherboard, so make sure you future-proof your purchase! (Of course, you can always add external storage.)
