Yes, this is a very pricey item but it is totally worth it. I've been wanting a MacBook pro for 4+ years and I finally got around to saving enough money to purchase one. I love it, there's no complaint here. Runs well, beautiful graphics, and so much more. If you're looking for a computer with great battery life, this is perfect. I watched the film Interstellar (2hr and 49 min movie) on it and didn't charge it for two days, due to the fact that I was out of town and it didn't even reach 20%. I could go on and on about this product. But I will stop with this... You get what you pay for.

Was looking for a lighter computer that had all the attributes and functionality of my MacBook Pro 15 and my Mac desk top. This computer exceeds all expectations and was ready to go when I opened the box! Easy to use, faster than others, great battery life. Best Buy had a great price that rivaled and beat the local university bookstore pricing for college students and faculty.

I've always wanted a MacBook and I'm glad I waited til now to get one. The retina screen looks really nice and crisp. Plus, this model is thinner and lighter than the older non-retina model. There's a very durable, premium physical feel to this laptop. I am familiar with Apple OS when it comes to iPhones and now macs. Customer service is great and I've heard multiple stories about over the top service for repairs and other services at the Apple Stores. This is a solid laptop for school, photo/video editing, music, and web browsing. A lot of apps available - paid and free. This particular model may not be enough for gaming, but for my own uses its perfect. MacBooks are good investments not only for what they can do, but also because they hold a lot of resale value if you ever decide to sell it. For the price, yes you can get a similar or higher spec laptop. It's subjective whether or not they're worth the higher price tag, but in my opinion they are. This model Mac is enough for school and can handle photo editing software- which is the main reason why I bought it. The way I see it you pay for a high quality laptop, reliable software, excellent customer service when you need it, and peace of mind in terms of resale. Your Mac isn't going to be completely dated in a few years. They sell quickly for even a couple hundred less than what you pay new.

This Macbook Pro with Retina Display is a spectacular product from Apple. I wish the battery life could be a little longer like the 13.3" Macbook Air that I gave to my daughter for college, but, because this is primarily used at home, this is the perfect computer for most of my tasks. I also have an 11.6" Air that I use when traveling which has fantastic battery life. I love the retina display and the new force touch trackpad is wonderful. I also received an extremely great price at Best Buy; better than achievable anywhere else. I expect that I will have this for quite some time.

Love the solid state drive and retina display. Replaced an older model which had led a useful life, having been through a Masters Program with my daughter.

As expected, high price high end product but this is what you would expect from Mac. Compact size, easy to handle. Great graphics, excellent processor, fast.

Mac Book Pro with Retina is a powerful computer in a light package. Colors jump off screen. Does everything I need as a Journalism major. Highly recommend.

This Mac is amazing. Clear, crisp picture. Small enough to travel with but large enough to view documents on the screen. Would definitely recommend getting.

I have been a longtime windows user but wondows 10 did not support some necessary tasks I needed to do and I was very unhappy with the windows laptop I had purchased. Best Buy staff was exceptional with the exchange. This laptop is fast, user friendly, lightweight, and I especially like the magnetic charger. Also recommend Apple Care for their excellent training classes.

Perfect size to carry to school. It has plenty of speed and storage to last a long time. The new mouse pad works great. The screen is crystal clear.
