I've been in the IT industry for 15 years and have always used a PC. I went to Best Buy to look into a new laptop and found myself speaking w/ their in-house Apple rep regarding the MacBook Pro. After burning through an hour of his time, I pulled the trigger on it. It took a little bit to familiarize myself with the different keystrokes, although aside from that, this is by far the best laptop I've ever owned. The performance is amazing and w/ a little help from Oracle's VirtualBox VM, I have a fully functional Win 7 Pro installation running on top of OS X.

I've always enjoyed Apple's computers since Apple II, and I love my new MacBook Pros. I recently bought this 13.3" for my wife and a 15.4" 16gb mem for me. These things really last... I had my previous two Macbook Pros, 15"ers since 2008. They were still on par with most of those <$1,000 windows machines out on the market right now. (eight years later!) I know these are pricey but they are well worth it. You might as well add a few hundred dollars and get a macbook pro instead of one of the lower laptop versions like the Air or MacBook. That being said I bought both of mine when they were on sale for $300 off. I was a little concerned about the smaller screen size since I couldn't stand the old 12" version, but my wife likes the 13.3" better than my 15.4". She uses her's for a telecommuting job, family photos/videos, and surfing the interwebs. I use mine regularly for Photoshop, Illustrator, and Web Dev. They handle everything we throw at them. Very pleased with the purchases.

great MacBook. it is very fast with so many different features with the new operating system. I'll never go PC again. this is also the perfect size.

The macbook pro with retina has a more colorful and clear screen than the old macbook pro. Furthermore, the mac os system is really user-friendly.

I am replacing my water-damaged 2010 Macbook Pro. Although I was leery about the smaller storage and no cd slot, I am very happy with this computer. I was able to upload my entire previous computer to this one with no problem. It is faster than my precious mac and the touch of the keyboard is very nice. Beautiful graphics. I love macs and would never buy a PC again.

The SSD in this thing make boot times disappear. Unless you are video editing the drive is plenty big. Battery life is great. No real complaints.

My first Macbook ever!. Excellent computer, faster than my last laptop. The track pad is a cool feature and an usefull tool when reading texts with a complicated vocabulary. The only bad part is that Apple doesn't offer as much internal storage as Windows.

The unit is much thinner, lighter and the screen is brighter than on my old macbook. It is way faster too. A great upgrade from my old MacBook!

We did not realize what we were missing out on, until we purchased and started using this thing. We waited a long time before we made a decision to pull the trigger here and we are glad we did. I love the way we can have several different admin. and several different profiles that are totally independent of each other. Maybe this is common now, but hey our old laptop was over 10 years old. (Please don't wait that long to replace yours) The graphics are amazingly clear. A lot of memory for storing movies, photos and other stuff. Lightning fast processing. Thin design and light weight for portability. Apple is extremely user friendly. Be confident with making this purchase.

Great processing power and speed for editing while running other programs. Also, the solid state hd is fantastic to take your work on the road.

This MacBook Pro is just what the student needs. It's compact enough to carry easily to class and has plenty of memory and storage for classroom notes and assigned papers. It's good looking and, with the case I also purchased, is more or less indestructible. Also important, it reportedly has excellent battery life.

I dropped my old HP laptop forever ending its life, so I was in the market for a new one. Friends urged me to check out Macs, but I was hesitant because of the price point. After doing much research I decided to take the plunge and I am very pleased. One of the big selling points is the internal security that a Mac offers, plus it doesn't come pre-loaded with all sorts of useless stuff like all PC's do. The added bonus is how easy it was to adapt to the Mac way of using the laptop. I would recommend a Mac without hesitation.

I've always been a MacBook user for my work and have had an older version. This new one is a nice improvement. Much thinner and faster.

Love my new Mac! It's light and easy to handle. It's way better than my older Mac. Love that you can receive calls and text via iPhone.

Sleek, light but not to light. I like some rigidity to my feel. It is ultra quiet and the retina display is phenomenal! The light up keyboard and display are both fully adjustable which is a plus for battery life and for browsing at night. It is Airplay compatible and you can even answer phone calls if you have an iPhone. Definitely satisfied
