I am using Apple Mac for more than 8 years. It's a great laptop. It has CD drive. I like the screen size too.

Is there another laptop to even look at? If you want performance and stability, this is the machine for you.

The MacBook Pro is my first laptop that I purchased at Best Buy. It was on sale and I was able to apply my Student Discount. I highly recommend this laptop for anyone interested in an Apple product. It's very user friendly and the Safari operating system is easy to learn. If you can't figure something out, just Google it, and you will fine a quick solution to your quandary. I love it!!!

Got this for my daughter for Christmas and she is loving the long battery life! I just wish apple offered bigger hard drives for a more reasonable price. (hence the 4 star instead of 5 star review)

Most of you know what to expect here, "Apple Tax" is high but the experience is great and the machines are the best quality in the industry. I went with an open box Retina MacBook Pro to save a few bucks and the laptop arrived quickly, in "Like New" condition and was worth the extra savings of roughly $250.

This computer over heats and locks up all the time. I could not say enough bad about the computer or the company who made it. One star is 10 times what it deserves. This issue started within days after purchase from Bestbuy in Memphis, TN. I called Apple support several times for help but they told me that they would not help at all. They actually told me that if I would have purchased the MacBook Pro from an Apple store that I would have received support but because I made the purchase from BestBuy that I was out of luck. I called and my wife called but got the same response. If I use ANY web browser besides Safari the system over heats and locks up. The system has to be restarted often just to keep it up and running. My home surveillance system software (Swann purchased from BB) causes the system to lock up and over heat. Plants vs Zombies even causes the system to over heat. The hdd is all but empty so that is not the issue but when it was over 50% it was useable only as a boat anchor. The activity monitor always shows that hardly any resources are being used but never the less it over heats and the fan is screaming. I have never in my life ever had a worse computer than this and I have been using computers since 1987. Buying a lemon does happen and I do not measure a company by the mistakes that it makes but by how it makes them right. I will never own another apple product in my life. I am finally getting around to writing this much deserved negative review because of a serious loss in my life and have been thus far unable to do so. I expect nothing to come of this review and I will chock it up as a very expensive learning lesson. Too bad I am stuck with this pile of garbage for the next few years as I have kids on the way and this was suppose to be a computer to last. Maybe I will upgrade to an old Pentium 2 computer with 512mb of RAM, a 20Gb HDD and a 56k MODEM.

Always a great product - my granddaughter had to have one through high school and it died (although Apple repaired free even out of warranty since it has similar issue prior to warranty ending) - purchased a new one to start college - it should last at least until graduation
