Retina MB Pro 13" /w 256GB ssd and 8GB RAM. Although considered dated, the hardware is excellent. The screen is great, the body is solid and it comes with two Thunderbirds and HDMI ports, USB and SD card reader. Ergonomics on this laptop is perfect, the battery lasts hours and hours. I got it for my daughter, and she loves to have a trendy Apple toy. She uses it for homeworks, class projects, internet browsing, media streaming and iTunes to her iPod. I use it for streaming movies to a projector - it works with the HDMI, I couldn't make it work through the Thunderburd with an adapter, but I am new to Mac anyway. I have not tried and will probably never will, to access network shared content - I have Win 10 pooled shares. With the stand of modern high-tech towards "cloud" home networked resources are getting less relevant anyway. I highly recommend this laptop for people needing the Apple logo. I personally use Dell XPS 13, same performance but MUCH more portable. MBPro battery does last longer, and laptop is better cooled - fan almost never starts.

I needed an upgrade to my 2008 MacBook Pro & I am so glad I made the switch. The computer works so smooth & fast. Plus the graphics & sound are also a plus & an upgrade from my older computer. Also more storage to store more important things. I am a teacher & love that this computer has a HDMI connection, which only requires one cable to hook up to the projector. I would definitely recommend this computer. And you know what they say! "Once you go Mac you never go back!"

I refuse to go back to a PC after owning an iMac for 5 plus years.... that's right 5 plus! My PCS after 3 years were slow and awful to start up. This laptop is fast and works the same as my iMac. I bought it primarily for work but if your a student or someone that needs some storage and a laptop that can be a workhorse - this is the one. For those of you that love taking pics - invest in an iMac with 1TB or more or consider adding an external hard drive to the purchase.

A really nice upgrade from my old Macbook Pro! Much lighter and faster. Miss the CD drive though, but not a big deal.

I bought this computer as a replacement for a yoga computer that bit the dust. I could not be more happy with this purchase. I am able to run Mac programs as well as windows programs at the same time. Retina screen is very nice. Although this does not have a built in superdrive, I bought an externil drive and am very happy with it. I started with a Mac 512 and have come full circle.

I had owned a 2010 MacBook Pro 15" previous to this purchase. It had gotten to the point where the old laptop was starting to die on me and was too heavy. I considered getting a new 15" but after comparing the models, I realized 13" would work out just fine. The new touchpad, while it is different with the haptic feedback rather than actual click, does not feel that different while using it. It feels as though you are clicking due to the feedback. It's a great little laptop!

Took some getting used to from Windows, but love it now. Battery lasts forever, and very light and easy to carry.

The latest MacBook pro is definitely similar such as the bells & whistles but this update w/ the retina display is definitely a bump up from previous editions! the other upgrades are nice but really haven't taken advantage of them either bc I'm still trying to retrain myself or I just don't see the need for them? The MacBook Pro older versions were already great quality but as Apple always does - they keep making small tweaks to something already a great product.

I have been a Windows user for a long time, so I was not sure what to expect. I have to say that I was extremely impressed with the quality and responsiveness of this product. I did not think the retina display would make much of a difference, but it is noticeable, in terms of clarity and sharpness. The flash drive makes startup and installation of software a breeze. Even though this costs more than a comparable Windows laptop, it is well worth the investment.

Really love my new MacBookPro with Retina display and the force touch track pad! Great feeling, great performance!

I bought this as an extra computer to bring on trips and have for the kids. It has become my primary computer.

This new computer is a life changing purchase for me. It replaces my old 7-8 year old MacBook. I still have some learning to do with all the new applications, but I am looking forward to many years of updated technology and efficiency from Apple. Most important is the Geed Squad package. Invariably surfing websites, there will be virus threats, and the Geek Squad comprehensive package has saved me a few times already. Highly recommend the GS service package!
