One great laptop!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my third MacBook laptop, and this is far and away the best! A gorgeous display and the top-notch build quality I've come to expect from Apple. It is only slightly heavier (half pound) than the MacBook Air, but it is well worth it for the extra horsepower. The SSD makes this blazing fast, and the Retina display is such an improvement over my previous MacBook Air's display. I have zero regrets so far!

Standard For Apple
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you know anything about Apple Products you pretty much know what to expect. You will need to decide on the hardware specifications and which options best suit your lifestyle but other than that the device is simply just another apple product. It performs and behaves as expected and it has a really clean and finished look; nothing too special.

The Beast of Apple
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This machine gets the job done! Quick, smooth, beautiful, it's what you want in a durable and sleek laptop. This book is a monster, keeps multiple applications running smoothly, backed by a very efficient application process and effortless syncing over different devices and networks. You get your money's worth. However, for first time Macbook OS users, it's not the MOST user-friendly system, as it took me a while to get used to all the kinks, buttons, combinations, and tricks that El Capitan offers. But with some patience and an open mind, this is surely a beautiful laptop.

My 1st Macbook
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife & I bought this 1 year ago. It was our 1st Mac PC. My wife uses it as an entertainment / Netbook, I use it as a work / entertainment device. It's a fantastic device syncing with our icloud accounts for photos, videos, text & iMessages as well as Office documents both Microsoft & Apple. It's Great to have all our iPhone stuff available on our MacBook! We haven't played any graphic intense games but it's blazing fast while multitasking internet, Office Apps, Facetime, blue-toothing music to our sound system, etc. I can't explain it but it's faster than our Windows laptop which has an I7 processor. Our Son also uses it for Live video school Apps & now wants his own Mac. It's very light weight & portable with a great quality display. We Love it so much we recently purchased an iMac to replace our old desktop pc.

Best Laptop Ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have three Mac computers - an older MacAir, a very new iMac Retina 21", and this 13" Macbook Pro. Have to say this is not only my favorite of the three, but the best computer I have ever had, bar none. I still prefer my Air for travel, as it's slimmer and lighter, but this is the one I really like to use. These are not cheap, but there's a reason these are reviewed as highly as they are relative to the competition. Quality control in Apple products is consistently good, and this thing just delivers on every promise made. On a shallower note, I love the shape and look of the case, it's just a beautiful machine. Touchpad - this one is the most responsive and accurate I have ever used. I normally prefer to use a mouse, even with a laptop, but I swear, with this thing you'll get over that quickly. This one also has the Force functionality that I haven't really explored yet. Apple absolutely executed this trackpad flawlessly. Keyboard - very familiar and similar in feel and key spacing to all other Apple computer keyboards I've used. Almost no learning curve. Screen - Retina display is gorgeous. Nicest of any PC I've had barring my new iMac. Great for movies, easy on the eyes, and a pleasure to look at regardless of which application you're using. Sound - very full and balanced, especially for a laptop. There's no tinniness, and I use this for iTunes both with the internal speakers and attached headphones. This doesn't come with headphones, but my iPhone's work great. Battery - really excellent, for such a powerful laptop. I get 7-8 hours pretty consistently in moderate use, and I usually keep my screen brightness just a couple of ticks below max. My Air seems to have slightly better battery life, but it is only the 11.5" model, no Retina, and has a lesser processor, Speed - outstanding. This is easily the quickest and most responsive of my three Macs. Mine has the 256 GB SSD, which I think is a great compromise for a performance to value ratio. Really noticeable in boot up, program opening, and general responsiveness vs. my iMac, which is almost flawless - but that one has a slow 5400 rpm hard drive in that one, and I wasn't willing to pay the extra premium for a SSD upgrade. Only negatives are that this laptop is really not upgradable at all. I suppose the SSD could be upgraded with great difficulty, but the memory is soldered. Oh well - 8 GB should be adequate for the foreseeable future. The Mac OS is just great - Apple didn't try to reinvent the wheel, unlike Windows, but uses an evolutionary approach to its operating system to add functionality while keeping look and feel familiar and highly user-friendly. Get this, or one of its siblings as your budget allows. They're not cheap, but worth every penny. I have never had an Apple product fail me in any way. After reading a lot of horrific reviews about competing products and bad user experiences, I feel a lot of confidence and trust in this.

Pricey, but an Excellent Computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was time to replace the old 2010 MacBook. It still works well, but Social Networking can place large demands on our devices. This new MacBook is speedy! The Retina Display is beautiful! I like the illuminated keyboard. And battery life is rated at 10 hours. I haven't tested it to go for that long without a charge, but I believe it can get really close to that number. I've been a longtime fan of Apple because they make computers that people can use without too much fussing about updates, etc. Pricey yes, but a good value - YES!

Awesome Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first laptop from Apple and pretty much my first experience with Macs. I have to say that I am impressed at how much simpler and easier it is to do anything with this machine. It starts up in seconds and the battery life surpassed my expectations, which were pretty low for laptops. The backlit keyboard is nice to have and the Retina display is bright and crisp with vivid colors. I also like the different motions you can do with the mouse touch pad. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

Very sharp display, quiet and quick.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first apple computer ever as i have previously always used Windows. I never needed a laptop that has a cost of $1000+ however, since new windows laptops also cost over a thousand such as Dell XPS 13 and HP Spectre x360 i decided why not and try this macbook and if i don't like it i will get the HP spectre that i was eying due to it's 2 in design. Anyway so i bring this macbook pro home and immediately notice that the screen was sharp and maintained excellent visibility under most angles, even from the side you can still watch a movie! Menu's and all icon looks pretty cool. It's definitely different than using Windows OS, but i think i can get used to it. So far i like and hope this experience with mac won't be disappointing. Batter last about 6-7 on initial charge. i have not had to charge mine yet and i already watched a movie and did some thing online so i think once the battery gets cycled few times it's going to last anywhere from 7-10 hours under simple usage. So IMHO there are the PRO's: 1) Sharp display 2) Nice keyboard 3) Force touch trackpad has interesting features 4) Battery lasts a good amount of time. 5) Pretty fast PCI based HD. Con's: 1) I did not see a ethernet port so you can connect it directly to your modem and test hardwired speed. Really nothing else that i noticed so far. Maybe for $1500 MSRP they could have included a 2.9 Ghz i5 instead of 2.7Ghz, but i doubt there is much of a difference but it would have looked nice on paper.

A Great Product
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My HP laptop died and I became a mackbook convert because I already had an iphone 6 plus and an ipad. In the past, I was against going all the way apple because of my familiarity and comfort with windows. However, I wanted to explore the benefits of integration across my electronics and enjoy the customer service experience associated with apple (after my horrible experience with HP). Also, apple users always tend to rave about the user-friendliness of the apple OS. Thus, after another mediocre experience with a window laptop, I decided to give the macbook a try. In the end, I am very happy with my purchase. For those of you who have been using macs for you years, I may be restating the obvious, but the macbook itself has a well-made feeling. It feels like a sturdy machine as opposed to a plastic toy. The screen is excellent. It's speed is great. I can run multiple tasks and programs without the computer slowing down, thereby slowing me down. I like the fact that my ipad, iphone and macbook integrate seamlessly when it comes to messaging, internet browsing, and even calls. There is probably more out there that I have yet to discover. It will take awhile to get used to the new shortcuts and nuances of mac OS but anybody can learn it with time. It's pretty simple and nowadays you can run anything you want on a mac, so there is really no need for windows. I never thought I'd say this, but I don't see myself going back to a windows-based machine.

First Mac
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this is the first mac I've ever purchase, PC wise, I own an iPad air and iPhone. Anyways, love the computer, does everything I need, I got it for light gaming and day to date use. Does everything good so far. little bit of a learning curve but that's what Google is for. Very smooth and love the look. I'll test her out with some serious gaming later but I know it's not meant for that. Highly recommend to any casual to moderate user for power. light and powerful. Get them when they're on BB sale

Good first experience with Mac computer
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm real happy with my MacBook Pro. First time with Mac. I have the 13" screen and it is plenty big for me. Very portable to take to business meetings. It is very fast with beautiful color and feels sturdy. I was told that I would have a learning curve but everything is logical and easy to access. I did have to buy Microsoft Office for Mac because much of my work uses Word and Excel.

Macbook!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After spilling water on my mid-2009 Macbook, I was in the market for a new MacBook. For the record the old mac still WORKED. I pulled it apart, blew it out (with a hair dryer), put it back together and waited. After 4 hours, the Mac turned on and the only damage was the airport chip (so no wi-fi). This new Mac is fast (SSD) and works like a dream. It's thinner than its predecessor and it performs at a much smoother and faster rate. Kudos to Apple for yet another job well done.

Even better than the Air!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Being really happy with my MacBook Air 13", I was really nervous to upgrade to a Pro model because I really rely on long battery life. However, this laptop gets amazing mileage considering the huge boost in performance and the MUCH, MUCH nicer screen. The 768 resolution Air was just taking its toll on my eyes. Once you go with a retina display, you simply can't go back.

Great laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have purchased 2015 Macbook Pro Retina 13" 256GB and I am very satisfied. I have used Windows OS since 1994. MacBook is just a great piece of hardware. It's quiet, light and fast. Battery, touchpad and display are amazing. The only issue for me is Finder and its keyboard shortcuts. I hope I will get use to it. I plan to buy an external monitor and local NAS.

Great, Well-rounded adaptable machine.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This computer is like a Swiss army knife. I record music with it, it has plenty of power to huck a lot of processor intensive audio programs at it. I watch movies on it, because the display is absolutely gorgeous. And transferring and writing files onto the ssd is lightning fast. Mac OS X is fast, efficient, and user friendly. I highly recommend this computer for anyone who wants a dependable computer that's going to last them a long time.

Great Laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from 11 inch 128GB MBA. Though I miss the lightweigh, the bigger screen was much needed. I feel at times my MBA performed better as I saw the beach ball ONCE. Now I see it 2/3 times a week. I assume because more apps are running now. There really are no complaints past that. Amazing system, lightweight, fast and powerful. (I havent found much use for force touch yet.) I would upgrade to 16GB ram if option is available for you.

Great college laptop
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Macbook Pro Retina is unlike any other laptop. It is beautifully designed, built strong and has a trackpad and keyboard that will blow your mind. Everything about the laptop is great: it powers up fast, loads apps fast (thanks ssd), stays cool and silent and has a battery life for all day use. After receiving a college student discount as well as catching a great sale, I am happy with my purchase and the price! Thanks Best Buy!

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The MacBook Pro with retina has an amazing display which has brilliant and true colors. The processor speed is incredible and definitely good for those who are going to be doing a lot with their computer. I'm able to use iMovie easily and have multiple windows open with no problem. Also, the laptop is fairly light and easy to take around! This is a must have for people who are looking at getting the most of their MacBook!

Love my Mac!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the new 13" Mac book pro with retina display as a replacement and upgrade from my 2010 Snow Leopard Mac book. I loved the old one, but it was getting too slow and not accepting all the updates. I love the new pro! It is fast, beautiful and preforms well! I thought I would miss the internal DVD drive so I purchased the external USB DVD drive. This too was seamless! I love my new Mac! Works great with my iPhone!
