I bought this laptop before they discontinued the 15 inch models with the new ones coming out. I have owned a Macbook before and they are well built, and perform well. Apple computing products are pricy, but I have found they last.

There's a world of difference between the pc I was using before (HP) and this Mac. The quality of the image and the speed of this pc are off the charts. I truly don't understand how I could work before with that painfully slow HP.

This is by far the best lap top I've ever owned! The display is stunning. It starts up in a few seconds compared to several minutes for my old Dell laptop. My only issue is that it gets very hot when my son plays Minecraft on it. I don't hear a fan kick on to cool it? Pricey but I love it!

While more expensive than other brands, Apple delivers an exceptional product. This is my first non-PC. Easy to install, intuitive to use and fast! Why an Apple? Learn Windows 8 or learn iMac? No brainer since I cannot stand win8. I definitely recommend this to anyone considering a new laptop.

very easy set up. i converted from pc to mac and the transition was so easy. the clarity of the screen is amazing. absolutely love it and feel it is worth the extra money over a pc

I bought a MacBook Pro from my local BestBuy. It was a great price. I price matched the barcode on the internet and it was at least $150 more everywhere else. The MBP is an incredible machine. I run MS Office and VMWare. With 16 GB of RAM this machine can do just about anything.

Got a Windows 8 for my wife and it was totally unresponsive and constantly locked up. Switched to the Mac Pro and it was fantastic right out of the box. Wife and I love it. Does everything seamlessly and with great speed on anything we need to do. Use it for business and pleasure.

So glad I'm no longer using windows. I really liked windows 7 and prior operating systems but 8 turned me away from windows forever. They say 8 was to be more like apple programs but to me 8 isn't nearly as easy to use and the Mac is constable with my iPhone and home computer.

I wasn't convinced of the added benefit moving from a 13" macbook pro. I do constant design and web development and I can't imagine going back. Great product, no complaints.

Been very satisfied with the Mac. I'm a high school senior and I got this to carry me into college as well. Does everything and then some and has exceeded my expectations.

The MacBook Pro retina 15 inch is a great laptop for school or for personal purposes. It weighs as much as the MacBook Pro 13 inch. The processor is fast and I love the features on it. I'm glad it has pages, numbers and keynotes, which are the same as using Microsoft office.

I went with a MacBook Pro to support my photography hobby. Photo editing became an easier task with the right tools. These Mac products are a part of the right tools.

Before I bought this one, I was hesitate on whether to buy the 13" one or the 15" one. After i checked them in the store, I am confirmed that the 15" one is the best retina MacBook pro you can get, the screen is with the right size and everything just looks gorgeous.

After a friend poured a full glass of water down the back of my 13" Mac Book Pro, I was forced to make a large ticket purchase. I'm not disappointed. I Love the processing speed and the super clear retina display and the solid state drive that has no moving parts.

I was last one in my family to switch to Mac, going with retina display was the best thing I could've done, especially running my Lightroom program and have not had the color differences as I did with my previous computer. It's nice and thin, great for travel..

This is my second Mac book. The previous one was 2010 non retina display 13.3 inches model. I was so pleased and amazed how it still works like brand new. When we needed needed one more for our small business, we went with this one. Retina display is absolutely beautiful and laptop functions at a lightening speed. I was skeptical about putting down more than 2 grand on a laptop. The performance will save you time which is money as well. I am more than happy with my purchase

I've been a mac user for years, and needed upgrade from a MacBook Air so I could do some consulting work. This laptop is excellent. Builds that took 10-15 *minutes* on my old box are done in under a minute! (And thats with a 2 CPU virtual machine running.)

Is small, light weight, and fast. Like the lit keyboard. Would like to have been able to get more RAM. Overall no major complaints.

I bought this recently after my 13" MacBook Pro was stolen. I had been drooling over the 15" Retina Pro for a while and finally "bit the bullet". I can't find a single thing to complain about.
