Its a Mac, bought it for my daughter for school!!!

i bought this and got an issue with a strange quiet noise in few days after using it. And, then i found out that it's a common issue. the fan makes loud noise when using flash player or watching movie in full screen.

I've owned 2 previous macs...they retain their value. I bought one in 2008 $1400 and sold it last year for $750 (6 years later). No other computer company can say this. This mac has a quad processor and 16 meg of ram and 15.3 retina screen is awesome. it is future proof for the next 8 years. Flash memory is instantaneous. battery life is ridiculous. I would definitely go with the quad processor if you are doing art graphic design or animation.

I've had an Asus notebook for the longest period and it stick with me through thick and thin. Unfortunately it finally came to end and it broke down on me. I thought about getting another Asus, but when I walked by this laptop at the Best Buy store, I couldn't keep my off it. It is an amazing laptop for a me, a 3rd year student in business. It is fast, the crystal clear screen, and how user friendly it is, even for a first timer like me.

After using PCs for the last 26 years or so I was faced with an upgrade that would require Windows 8 as an operating system. I felt Windows 7 was a good OS and I'd used W8 on my wife and daughters computers just enough to know I hated it. I'd always toyed with the idea of trying a Mac (I'm a dedicated iPhone, iPad, iPod, iEverythingelse user) but didn't feel like learning a new OS. Thanks to Windows 8, the decision that the time was right to make the leap became an easy one. So off to Best Buy and out of the store with the MacBook Air, having decided before I dropped bank on the high fliers, I'd test the water with something a bit more affordable to make sure I could make the transition without suffering debilitating psychological effects. By that evening I was a fully evangelized Mac Guy. My daughter liked my MacBook Air so much she appropriated it, leaving me computer-less. Back to Best Buy, but this time, for something a bit speedier, bigger, faster, and flashier. This Macbook Pro is just the ticket. I'm now convinced everybody should own a PC for a first computer. After suffering through that period of six months or so that it's actually relevant, then step up to the Mac to fully understand and appreciate the fact that it is simply a better computing solution. When Windows has a defect, Microsoft develops a tool to download and try to fix the problem. When Mac has a defect, Apple simply corrects the problem. This is the difference in the corporate philosophies of the two companies and their operating systems. I could drone on and on, but hopefully you understand how I feel about this computer after reading this. SWITCHERS: Do not hesitate to take the plunge! After working the learning curve for two hours or so and developing some Mac Muscle Memory, you will thank yourself every time you power up your Mac (and it does so in about 15 seconds...).
