So you are a life long PC user and you are considering a Mac? Well, I am teaching myself coding and all of the community suggest a Mac. So I did my homework and I decided to take the plunge. Well, I can't say how happy I am to have made the move. The cons are there...you do have to learn basic functions that you are used to on a PC, but you can Google or Youtube those. The performance of this particular model is the best that I've had in any laptop. It is sleek, very fast and has a great display. I am definitely a fan boy. I think that if you are okay with the price, than you should jump on this model. It is about as fast as the design is going to be if you ask me. I simply love the 15" display and clear colors. Do yourself a favor and jump on the Macbook Pro.

I have purchased this laptop on Thanksgiving for 1699 which seems to be best deal for an Apple product. Retina display is too good if you will compare to clarity on other laptop screens. Price is bit high for this configuration, but if you can afford this price it is a best product. As of now, I am loving it and I hope this will be durable for long run. Processing speed is high, within a click it will process your input and you dont have to wait till long and watch the hour glass :D

The MBP is the best laptop money can buy. it's fast and well designed. I am happy with the quality of the retina display. It's amazing how sharp and crisp it is. I am very happy with the purchase so far. :)

After using a 300 dollar computer for almost my whole high school career, I had been bogged down by its lack of responsiveness. With this computer, I was able to become literally 20x more efficient in my work. I get things done so quickly, and video editing on this computer is great and not laggy like other computers. The retina display is incredible and battery life is off the wall for anything that I have used before. Not only that, but the sound quality on this laptop is superb. If Macbooks were cheaper, windows would be out of the market in a year. I would recommend waiting and buying Macbooks at Best Buy because some deals around the year may save you more than those Apple College Scholarships can give you.

The best notebook for heavy use. Great battery. Good weight. The retina screen is perfect. Mac OS X is amazing.

As per usual with Apple products, this computer works perfectly right out of the box, and doesn't show any signs of slowing down. The screen is beautiful, the hardware makes for blazing fast downloads and program loading. If you're worried about spending a little extra, I assure you it's well worth it. In this day and age, having something that simply works every time is worth the extra money, especially if you're a student.

Long time PC....but recently ought a MacBook Pro 15'' retina and will never buy anything else ever again. This computer does it all! Takes a little getting used to buy overall has been great. The salesman in best buy helped me above and beyond in finding the computer to best fit my needs. Would definitely recommend!

I bought this Apple MacBook Pro for my son for his school work. It is the best laptop money can buy. I am happy with the quality of the retina display. It's amazing how sharp and crisp it is. His work is being completed in about one third the time that it used to take him. He needed it for movie editing and nothing compares with this Apple product.

Broke down and purchased this after about 2 decades of using a PC. Best decision ever. Best investment ever. I could have purchased another PC but I did not want to go through the issues I was having with my 3 year old HP. I am used to have a smaller memory- about 2-4GB- and a higher HD of 500GB or more. The 16GB memory and 256GB flash storage does not show a difference between my Mac and PC. Maybe it does and I'm oblivious. The retina is not as hyped as I think it would be. It's just a regular bright screen, nothing fancy. I was worried that I was spending almost 2k on a laptop I would only use for homework but oh well it is what I always wanted. My favorite thing is the battery and iTunes. I can go a week without charging. I had to charge my PC daily. Because it was old I had to leave it on the charger. As for iTunes, the connectivity is flawless. Everything is so smooth. Gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. My only concern is that I cannot connect my iPhone 6 to my MBP to use as a remote. Other than that, BB should offer 10 stars.

I saw this on sale on president day weekend and could not resist. I have been waiting to get this for awhile. Well, it has far exceeded expectations. Great performance and ease of use!!

New to Apple products so I'm still learning. However, the laptop works so smoothly, turns on instantly without waiting for it to load for minutes, and is super quiet; very much unlike a pc. Battery life has been good so far.

Retina display on a 15 inch is only second to seeing it on a 17 inch - so fast , so elegant, and so fast (again) - thank you best buy. 256 SSD purchase

Apple products are generally more expensive, but worth it. The laptop is well constructed and extremely fast. The retina display is beautiful!

got this laptop to replace my desktop. it runs 100x faster it feels like. i like the OS and the battery life as well

I bought this specific laptop with 256GB SSD, 16GB memory, and what it states on the page of the product that it has an Nvidia graphics card as well, so I was super stoked when it arrived, but then I checked and it doesn't have an Nvidia graphics card, but rather only an intel iris pro integrated graphics which I was frustrated when I found out. I spoke with customer service in the store and they said that the website has an error that is still even up until not fixed it. The hassle of returning it is what I hate about products not being specific on what are the specification of the machine. Bestbuy needs to get that fixed ASAP, so if anyone one looking to get this with the intention of getting Nvidia graphics then you should look elsewhere.

I've gotten fantastic performance from this machine so far. From heavy photo work to video editing and animation rendering, it slays it all. And the flash storage is great as long as you know what you're getting with it. File access is very fast and the HD is reliable, just make sure you have an external to help make up for the smaller storage space.

It seems to work fine. Bought it for my nephew. He recommends it. I would not.

Purchased a Macbook pro 15.4 256gb. I have had for for 2 months now. I absolutely love this computer. Starts up instantly, battery run time is more then adequate. I purchased online as a geek squad certified used and saved a good amount of $$$. Condition is excellent, looks and functions excellent. I would recommend 100%
