Using the Force Touch trackpad is surprisingly satisfying. It DOES take a little bit to get used to, but Apple makes it easy through being able to customize trackpad shortcuts through the system preferences menu. Decent battery life, but I haven't managed to get quite to the 9 hours Apple claims. I get about 7 on a normal usage cycle, which isn't anything to thumb your nose at. Great power and great portability.

Best laptop I have ever owned. Upgraded from a five year old Mac Book Pro which was a little long in the tooth. Performance is incredible on the new one thanks to the SSD. Ties in beautifully and seamlessly with other Apple products (iPad and iPhone). No regrets.

This laptop is an amazing upgrade from my MacBook Air that was three years old. I upgraded when I started my Masters degree and have found that it meets my needs, has a great display and enough hard drive storage to meet my needs. I am completely satisfied with my purchase and the team at best buy who made the transition easy.

It cost a lot of money. I usually go around 700 range Windows laptops but decided to see what all the fuss was about plus I wanted to learn how to make apps on the apple side! I would highly recommend buying a prior years model or refurbished. That would be the best way to go, but good grief this thing is fast compared to my old Windows i5. It is a minimal learning curve not having the left and right mouse clicks but it doesn't take long to figure out! So if you got the dough and you like iPhones and iPads , get one!

FAST AND RELIABLE. NO PROBLEMS AND REPLACED OLD MAC

The main reason I went with a MacBook Pro was because I have bought many PCs from different manufacturers (IBM, Dell, HP, Sony, Asus) and each has only lasted a couple of years. I've wanted to try a MAC for a long time and since I'm I grad school, I thought I would give it a shot. It operates differently than a PC but I have acclimated pretty quickly. So far I am extremely happy. As far as operational longevity, time will tell. The reviews I've read on the MacBook Pro were very positive, so I'm going out on a limb somewhat. All of my other Apple devices have stood the test of time and I'm hoping that goes for the MAC as well.

It's time for an upgrade, never ever consider any other laptop but Mac, had the other MacBook for many years still gong very strong but I needed latest version,speed and storage and it's perfect for what I needed and expected great product as always.

I am a PC user, updated to windows 10, on one computer no problem BUT on another nothing but problems, even after a month, first one problem that is resolved then another pops up. speaking to others thy were having the same problem. So gave up on pc.
