One of great product from apple and I really liked it a lot !!

Been searching for an apple laptop. This was the one we wanted.

Went from a PC to a Mac and wonder why I didn't do it sooner.

Going to class at Apple soon as some functionality has changed

My first time owning a MacBook. I bought this item as open box. It was fully charged, and the battery drained to 5% after 4.5 hours of usage. Features says up to 9 hours, so I'm worried that my battery isn't as good as it should be.

Apple computers are obsolete when you buy them, cost 3x what they're worth and if she didn't insist I would not have purchased it.

Spent many hours and days on phone with AppleCare and Microsoft, but they were not able to get Windows 10 to function properly on the MacBook Pro. The only option was to return the computer for a refund.

Since I got this computer it wasn't working like it's supposed to. I haven't had time to call Best Buy to see if the problem can be fixed. Hopefully I'll be able to do that soon.

Still getting used to this. New to laptop and computer use. Still trying to catch up to everybody. But for the most part very easy to use once I had it explained to me

Apple is a great company for making money for their company...they sell a "warranty" that protects you from nothing. Everything that could go wrong with your laptop is considered accidental damage because Apple makes a product that doesn't hold up to normal use for a device. The tech said simply touching it would break the retina display and is considered accidental damage which isn't covered by AppleCare protection. There is no crack in our display, there is no physical dents in the case of the laptop that would indicate a hard drop, but there are lines up the screen. Despite having 2 months left in our manufacturer warranty and 2 in the 3 years of extra protection...we have a laptop that will cost an additional 700$ to repair. Will be the last Apple product I will ever buy! I am extremely disappointed in the lack of lasting quality for these devices. We are not a family that is careless with how we handle our devices. Most of our devices last as long as we would possibly want to keep them. This Macbook always travels in a padded bag, hasn't been dropped, my wife opened her laptop three days ago and there were lines up the screen. We made an appointment the next morning to have it looked at and this is what we were told by Apple's Repair center.

My daughter has always want a mac book. She loves it. So far works well no problems.

This review is on the actual laptop - not my knowledge on how to use a Mac. It is my first Mac Laptop and am truly impressed with the performance and reliability of the product. It is limited with the software which you need to purchase quite a bit in order to create certain things. With that being the only downfall, I definitely recommend purchasing it through Best Buy v. Apple for the additional warranty and extendability of the product life - guaranteed.

I haven't used a Mac to any significant degree since high school. After considering it for about a year I finally decided to buy a MacBook Pro with some of my tax refund. After considerable consideration I settled on this model because of the size and hard drive (I have a large music collection so I needed the space). I really like the size and feel of this device, and while it goes against my initial feelings, it turns out having to use an external CD drive isn't so bad. I love the screen and the feel of the backlit keyboard. The SSD makes everything run very fast. The Mag safe 2 connector for charging is genius! There are really only a few things I don't like: 1. It only has 2 USB ports (though both are 3.0 ports) and they are on opposite sides so if you need to plug in a peripheral (such as the Pioneer BluRay drive I have ben eyeing and the external CD drive I already owned) you need to use a bulky and awkward USB extension cable. 2. It does not support USB C. The new smaller MacBooks do, why doesn't the PRO device? 3. I would have really liked to get the 1gb SSD and/or 16gb or RAM, sadly those upgrades cant be bought off the shelf and you have to order from Apple. I don't have a credit card or a local Apple store so that's complicated. And since everything is soldered to the board, I can't have those upgrades done after the purchase. Fortunately I don't really need either upgrade for my use, but it would have been nice to future proof this thing. 4. The speakers, while not bad, could be better. But overall it's a great device and well worth the money.
