This is probably the best computer I have ever owned. I was concerned that it would feel heavy after using a MacBook air for the past few years, but I am satisfied with weight as it feels comfortable on my lap. The larger screen is great and the resolution is better than I imagined it would be. Currently I am running the El Capitan beta on it and it runs smoothly and is very responsive.

As a lifelong Windows user, I must say that the Macbook Pro 13" Retina Display is a sleek machine. Beautiful display, quiet, fast, stays cool, quick charging, and outstanding battery life. The keyboard is comfortable and easy to type on. I'm enjoying learning the Mac operating system on this device.

Encountered complete freeze occasionally since the first week and on.

I love my MacBook!! It's starts almost instantaneous and the battery lasts forever! I will never go back to a Windows based machine. So worth the extra money!!

I received the worst possible service imaginable. I am an elite member, yet I'm completely disregarded by Best Buy and customer service. It's too long to type, but I won't be shopping at Best Buy anymore.

I bought this computer for programming Swift on. It's been a month, and I'm in love. It is very fast, has great screen resolution, and is quite light. The trackpad is also very smooth.

So a month before the new Macbook Pro 2016 came out I bought the Macbook Pro 2015 edition. The reason behind my decision was because I had already heard the rumors of the Macbook Pro loosing the ports I still use today, and that also the device would do away with the MacSafe charging. Due to the speculation and rumor I jumped onto buying to the 2015 Macbook pro. I was still within my return period when the new Macbook Pro 2016 arrived, and after testing out the device in store and compared it to the device I had bought I could not justify spending 300 extra dollars because even after paying the extra money for the touchbar I would still need to buy dongles that I would need because of the ports I would be loosing. When comparing the 2016 to my 2015 you could tell that there was a definite speed difference but if you have anything that is older than 2015 and you are upgrading what you currently have you will not know the difference. Also anything you buy today will be lighter and offer more power than anything that you have that is prior 2015. So in short, if you still use the ports that you would be giving up by buying a 2016, if you don't have an extra 300 dollars to spend and you want the Mac experience then I would say that the 2015 Macbook Pro retina is a great option. Also if you are drawn to the size difference and color options of the 2016, don't forget you can buy a skin and make your 2015 stand out from the rest, which is what I have done with mine. I've had multiple laptops over the course of my high school& college years ranging from a Lenovo, Dell, to a HP& have always had problems at some point of either it crashing, or having to factory reset &I lose all of my information on it. I wanted to try Apple to see what all of the hype was about This is my first MacBook, and as I'm in graduate school I needed a reliable laptop- It's easy to use,& seems it will last over time. Love it so far!

I bought this for business and personal use, after enduring years of corporate Windows based laptops. I will never to back to Windows...love the speed, clarity of screen, and zero SW issues..nice to finally have a laptop where I don't have to worry about "blue screens", updates from out of nowhere, and SW just not working. At 3.5 LBS, it fits in a much smaller, lighter briefcase, so I'm not lugging around a monster. Absolutely love it!

We purchased this laptop and it was our first in the 'Apple World'. We have been very happy with the processing speed. The SSD is very fast and reliable. So much easier than a Microsoft operated machine! We purchased for $49.99 Microsoft Office 365 and it looks and feels just like regular office software. We Highly Recommend It!

I typically have used Windows computers in the past, but I've been impressed with how great this computer runs and how awesome the screen is. I love the apple track pad and the new click is great so you don't accidentally click something you didn't mean to. Great product.

I have used a Mac for a few years now and I have gotten use to things working and not needing to update all the time or needing upgraded parts to do the basic things. I am an engineering student and this Mac runs all of the programs I use everyday and is on par with upgraded windows machines as for the speed. I also have an iPhone and Apple TV that sync up with my Mac.

I bought the Mac Pro laptop in 2016 and I still have it. The battery doesn’t hold a charge like it did when it was new but that isn’t a problem as I just plug it in. I would definitely replace it if I would need too.

This laptop has been my best purchase as a student. I purchased it in 2016 and NOW is when I am having issues with it. Apple products aren't meant to be kept for so long. Once you update the software, you end up having issues, but if you are careful and take care of it, you might have it for as long as I have. I used it as a primary computer and took it with me EVERYWHERE when I was a student. My issues now is that its quite slow, but its time to replace it as I cannot use some of the software I want to. Great buy. I just purchased the newest model and I LOVE it just as much. much lighter than this one.

with the MacPro reputation and the fact we had 3 in the household already I was quite confident and have not been disapointed

There is no substitute. I looked at all of the computers for an hour and 45 minutes. i kept coming back to this one. i have had it almost 3 years now and no regrets spending the extra money. none at all.
