Customers are saying

Customers consistently note that the inclusion of a numeric keypad and the impressive battery life are standout features of this device. Users also frequently praise its sleek design, lightweight build, and seamless wireless connectivity, which contribute to an overall positive experience. While the product is highly regarded for its performance and ease of use, some individuals feel the price is a bit high and find the key travel depth to be somewhat shallow.

    Apple Magic Keyboard

This is my second Magic Keyboard (one for home and one for work). It works well for me and I like the button style. Charge lasts a long time. The only real downside is it still uses a Lightning port instead of USB-C. Best Buy had it in stock when I ordered it from the app and it was ready for me to pick up in less than an hour. I have never had a negative transaction with Best Buy and their prices on the items I purchase from there (mostly Apple) are in line with other retailers.

Most Uncomfortable Keyboard I've ever owned

This keyboard is awful. It's not ergonomic, has no way to adjust the height, and it uses the stupid lightning cable from the iPhone 8 instead of USB-C. Why can't there be more than 1 manufacturer of Bluetooth keyboards for Apple computers? Apple doesn't know how to make a keyboard. This is yet another reason to buy a Windows machine because you can at least buy a Bluetooth keyboard that won't need an adapter and dongle connected for it to work. I'm planning on returning this ASAP

Here's why: - Design: The silver color and sleek profile give it a modern and elegant look that's eye-catching and complements my workspace beautifully. - Typing Experience: The keys are responsive, and the scissor mechanism provides a satisfying, tactile feel. The numeric keypad is a welcome addition for spreadsheet work or quick calculations. - Wireless Connectivity: Connecting to my Mac was effortless, and the Bluetooth connection has been stable and reliable. - Battery Life: It lasts for weeks on a single charge, depending on usage, making it a dependable workhorse for daily tasks. - Compatibility: It works seamlessly with my Apple devices, enhancing my overall productivity. Final Thoughts: The Apple Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad successfully combines aesthetics and practical features. From design to performance, it's a polished product that enhances my day-to-day computer usage. If you're in search of a keyboard that offers both style and substance, this one deserves serious consideration.

Nothing wrong with this item, but I returned it and got the Logitech MX for Mac..way more value for your money. It's angled (which I prefer) It's BACKLIT! It's $50 cheaper No you do NOT need to use the little USB dongle it connects via bluetooth to your mac. Also I LOVE the keys on the Logi!

Does everything I want with my big Mac desktop unit. because it is rechargeable, I don’t have to worry about the battery situation. It is long enough to fit in all the keyboard buttons, including the number pad. It is comfortable and luxurious to use this unit and I am glad I purchased it.

Great touch with minimum effort. It can be used with Bluetooth or wired. The battery lasts weeks before recharging. Nice to have the numeric keypad. Easy to pair with the computer. But, there are less expensive options.

    Absolutely Amazing for Typing

Apple's Magic Keyboard is aptly named. Simply put, this is one of the best non-mechanical keyboards I have ever used. The pressure and feedback of the keys are very responsive, and there's good travel depth. The layout is fantastic, and the symmetrical control, option, and command keys on both sides are great for pinky finger muscle memory. As far as ease-of-use is concerned, this keyboard connects immediately macOS without any software downloads or dongles. Its response is virtually imperceptible from a wired keyboard. From a full charge, I have typed more than 80k words over the span of a month, and it still has nearly 50% charge. However, this keyboard has two glaring flaws. First, it requires a 4-pin Apple Thunderbolt cable to charge, so you will need a USB-A dongle on a MacBook Pro. Second, it is too lightweight. This may seem hypercritical, but the rubber feet on the bottom provide very little grip. If you type a lot, you will feel it slowly slide across your desk.

I bought the MacBook Pro but wanted a numeric pad, so I added this to my purchase. It is really nice. Wireless, easy to use and lightweight, I can move it around, I even store it in a draw when not in use and it remains connected. Great for doing financial programs on the MacBook.

BIG IMPROVEMENT OVER MY WIRED KEYBOARD W/ NUM PAD

If you need a keyboard with the numeric keypad, then you know how much of an improvement this keyboard is over the older wired board I was using. I sure you will love the improvements made on this newer wireless version. The biggest improvement that works for me is that it has a built in rechargeable battery and it can be charge with the same lightning cable that charges most of my other devices. I had to get used to the lower profile, but it works fine for me. I like the feel of the keys and the freedom to move the keyboard without the limitations of the cord. My previous keyboard was the older wired apple keyboard.

Love this keyboard, it’s so light and slim. It’s a space saver, easy to move where you want it or take it with you and so nice to be able to charge and use it at the same time too. I highly recommend any apple keyboard. Love the 10 key pad, makes typing numbers so much faster.

I thought the magic keyboard with the numeric keypad looked clean and matched well my new iMac. But...unfortunately the contrast between the grey letter names of the keys and the light grey color of the plastic on which it was printed was too similar to see in a semi-dark situation, which made it necessary for me to turn on an overhead light or figure out how to turn on backlit keys. But nope, that was not an option. I did like that it was wireless and worked well over the bluetooth connection, but alas, I did not want to have to worry about the battery level and recharging it, and didn't like using my bright overhead light to see the keyboard, so I returned it and purchased a wired keyboard that has a backlit option, and which also had a few other features for less than 1/3 the price!

I purchased my new MacBook Pro 16" as a replacement for my 2009 27' iMac (it sure had a good run!). I also connected my new laptop to an external monitor. It had the feel of having my desktop back; however, I didn't like the external monitor sitting back and my laptop closer to me so I could use the keyboard to type. So, I purchased an Apple Magic Mouse and this keyboard. I'm so glad that I made the purchase. This keyboard is light, super stylish to match my MacBook Pro, comfortable to use, has great key response, and the battery lasts for months! It connected easily and quickly. Now I use this for home and business use. I really enjoy this keyboard and I'm so happy I purchased it. The only drawback to this keyboard is the price. Whew! But I paid it so I could have the "matching look" and the dependability of easy connecting via bluetooth. Plus I really like the feel and comfort of the Apple keyboard. So, when I do use my laptop keyboard, it's laid out similarly and has the same feel and key spacing. Would I buy it again? Yes.

    We needed a numeric keypad

The keyboard that comes with the iMac is excellent and the feel of the keys is precise but we needed a numeric keypad for doing lots of spreadsheet and accounting work, so this is a perfect choice. the keypad still has a small footprint on my desk, but I use the numeric portion quite a bit. Battery life is excellent and is recharged via the iMac. So far I have only had to recharge it once in four months. One wish is that apple would offer a keyboard choice so that you would only have to pay the difference and not have to buy this second keyboard, but we will keep the original as a spare.

Very easy to use. Very light touch, but sometimes too light. Because it is wireless, I can move it as I wish without cables pulling on anything on my desk. Just recharged it for the first time. Only took a couple of hours to charge and I used the keyboard while it was charging.

Very easy to install. Doesn't weigh much. Makes it easier to get things done with the number pad. I couldn't find one online that was cheaper that actually worked with the computer. So I decided to invest in this one. Price is a little high.

I am a big user at the numeric side of the keyboard with my typing skills I would rather type the numbers on one side along the top row so buying this numeric keyboard was a better choice than taking the one that came with it that doesn’t have the numeric side. The keyboard is thinner and lighter as well are the keys no need to worry about the little feet falling down when moving keyboard around let’s just made on an angle you do need to charge it now and again I’ve had these type of keyboards before on other computers and the charge usually lasts Depending how often you use the keyboard anywhere from a week to a month that’s great the only thing negative I could say is that the keyboard is not backlit
