    Love this charger in general. Sadly, I’m on my 3rd in 4 years. The rubber coating peels/cracks pretty easily, exposing wires.

    These chargers tear up pretty easily. Even with no obvious wear, my last one quit working. Not what I'd expect from an Apple product. Besides that, they charge well.

    If I did not need to buy it, I wouldn't have…I was alarmed by the relatively high cost-but what can you do? It works and it better last me for a few years.

    It is the original piece, and it was like getting a boost to the Mac but my last one started falling apart after 2.5 years. So a necessary expensive replacement.
