I had to purchase a new power adapter for my Mac as the wire on the original one cracked in many places. I would think that Apple could come up with an adapter that lasts longer than these do. Way too expensive for what its worth.

The charging part works fine, but after a few months of use, the part that connects right next to the computer cracks, exposing wires. There HAS to be a better way to design these cables.

Apple makes perhaps the worst power adapter on the market. After a couple years, it wears about and I have to buy a new one. It works great until it doesn't.

Had to replace charger for my MacBook my dog chewed the other works just like the last one

over all this is a good product however my ONLY gripe on this is the rubber covering on the cord it wears out way too fast and you have to purchase a NEW one ... wish it was more resilient... wish they sold the cord separately

I've bought three of these things in the past two years. The wire gets stripped easily or it breaks entirely. They're not cheap. I like the design and it works extremely well, but they don't last very long unless you baby it.

Ok but expensive. The charger it replaced wasn't reinforced well at the computer connection end and I imagine this one would eventually fail as well. There's no other option as far as replacing it. Just Apple.

It is just what I needed. No issues. The real charger is always better than an off brand.

This is the third one of these that I have had to buy for the same laptop. They don't last long. They always break at the exact same spot and they are not worth the expensive price. Apple could fix this problem and make them more durable to last longer but why would they when they have you exactly where they want you. You have no other choice but to buy another one after they break. I am a big fan of Apple products but they really dropped the ball on this one.

Sadly this is the third charger I've been through in the 5 years I've had my laptop. Better than my parents toshiba but still kinda pathetic. Just count on purchasing another after this one gets a short and stops working.

These are overpriced. They work fine for a while, but turn yellowish and a get dirt stuck in the matte material, and falls apart. Only recommend because apple basically forces you to buy their stuff.

We returned this cord,& in return bought a new computer. The return was simple. & the are always friendly with good advice & helpful info!

Too expensive.!! I buy it because need it the charger, my computer it’s kind a old, but the price of the charger never changes.

This is a very reliable product but Apple needs to change the price. I should not be complaining because this is nothing new with Apple and you cannot trust the off brand chargers. Gotta love it

Like many Apple users, my Magsafe has broken over time and use. I've learned that, unlike most charging cords out there, you have to be very delicate when handling the Magsafe cords. They easily break off at connection points. When I started to be very careful not to twist or pull on the cord in the slightest amounts, the adapters started lasting longer. Still, the brand new adapter from Best Buy is a safer bet than the refurbished adapters sold (sometimes as "new") from certain online parties.

Good looking charger, love that you can switch out the charger and make it longer, my one problem is that it won't charge your macbook up if you have multiple things going on at the same time (burning a DVD, etc.).

This is a way overpriced and bulky power adaptor with a horrible power cord design. Had bought this replacement because my original one had frayed apart after 3 years of being plugged into and out of a power strip. This is because of the lousy design of the plastic mold around the cord. PC power cords have a more reliable design. Recommend buying a generic power adaptor instead, works just the same at ¼ the price.

Grossly overpriced MacBook power adapter. I only bought the legit Apple one after reading about third power ones catching on fire. This is replacing one that the magnet fell off making it useless.

Its the secound time around I have to replace this charger not the best quality where the connector meets the computer. But what else can you do they don't sell any aftermarket chargers for this type of computer.
