The original adapter broke in just over a year. You have to replace entire thing . You should expect to get more than just a year out of this pricy product but there is no other choice to replace this.

Old one burnt out and I couldn’t find one with the quality this one has.

returned to store. i bought it coz i thought no charger included when i bought my macbook air. it's not even compatible with my air. good thing no problem returning it to store since i bought it online.

This is a great charger, but it is a little expensive compared to others. Also, it would be great not to have to buy the whole charger when you just need one part.

Does what it should but VERY poor build quality. This cable has frayed and become nonfunctional with no possible repair possible. If you find one, might be best to buy from different manufacturer

This is a nice cord, no question, but it is a cord. I can't see any justification for its price. That said, if you need a replacement cord for a MacBook, this is basically your only option.

A bit expensive for a power cord. Not sure why my original stopped working since there was no obvious damage to it. I had to buy this overpriced product or buy a new computer. It works fine for now.

Steve Jobs has total control and we suffer. There is only one other product available that can be used to charge a Mac and that one is even less reliable than this one. I continue to have issues with it connecting properly to provide a charge. Additionally, there are times when the charger light color and the actual charge action occurring do not coincide. This product may be considered 'sufficient' at best due to the fact that it is essentially the only option for our Apple product. So, by default, I guess I will have to check that I recommend it.

Not even a month in the charger broke, wouldn't charge and the light blinked. Never had this problem before. Will exchange for another because it is needed, but not happy with unknown issue.

Apple knows how to make you pay for replacement of accessories. We love our Mac Probook but I was shocked at the price of a replacement ac plug. Make sure and plug it in where it can be tripped over.

These cords have a disappointing history of failing. They are overpriced. But they are official Apple product and it's hard to know whether an off-brand would be safe for the computer.

Overpriced energy source. The price is ridiculous considering how old this is, but I needed it thanks to my beautiful cats who love chewing cables.

Not to crazy about buying this part for the third time. This part is not covered under warrantee! I would recommend it to a friend because you have no choice but to buy this part for your laptop.

Considering you are spending over a $1000 for a Mac, you'd think a power cord would last. NOPE! This will last you a year or two before it starts to fray.

Had to buy this because Apple discontinued the original one we had. Said it might fry our cpu but maybe not. My mom junked the computer shortly after.

I hate these things. For the price we pay for our Macbook Pros you'd think they could make quality chargers, but in the 3 years I had my computer under warranty I went through 4 cords! Luckily my warranty covered it, but when I ran out of warranty I had to pay $80 to get a new one. It's not just me, same thing happened to 3 of my friends and my brother! They're junk!

The first one I had got so hot at the charging port it literally melted the plastic covering the wires. This one seems to be holding up better. I assume the first one was defective.

My 45W charger went out due to the cord unraveling, this was a replacement. Best Buy sales rep said they no longer carry the 45W, but this one would work fine. it's worked ok so far.

It works great, thought it's expensive compared to other chargers, and it would be good if the cable were reinforced at the computer end. That's where the old one broke.
