The lower gauged electrical cord lacks sufficient durability to withstand daily use. My cord shorted out at the connecting point to my computer. The cost of replacement is outrageous. You must replace the entire electrical cord set. It's impossible to recommend or not recommend this product since it's essential to the computer and only available as an Apple product.

The cable tears apart. Too bad for such a pricy adapter.

Apple - MagSafe adaptors are very poor in terms of build quality and thus do not last very long.

Overall the Apple Mac Pro is a wonderful product but the wire you have to be careful it tend to wear.

This is the third apple charger I have had to buy for my laptop. It is poorly designed and breaks in the same spot each time. I have to keep replacing because it is a school laptop that I have for one more year.

Cord works great. Was given incorrect cord but finally got the correct one

I liked this product it is durable and the exact product needed for my computer

hopefully this one lasts longer than the last but i appreciate that they offer an inexpensive warranty

Needed to replace my charger so I did, but did not expect to pay 80 dollars! Works good though!

These products should have a longer or even a lifetime warranty. They break easily and are so expensive to replace. Apple needs to do a better job or lower the price. Best Buy great service, great choice to buy product, though.

Does Apple build a flimsy power cord so they can charge $80 every time one breaks? I bought Macbooks for all 3 of my daughters. After a couple years all 3 needed new power cords. The new power cords are showing wear and fraying the same as the originals. I would be purchasing another round of new power cords soon but now the computers themselves are having major RAM issues and need to be replaced. Better engineering is needed to justify the hefty price!

Hate that I can't buy just the one piece but when you need it what can you do

It is an Apple product so you know it is overpriced and there are few options (if any), if you want to run your MacBook. Fortunately, Apple had the foresight to make it incompatible with the MacBook Air. I gave it a low star rating because of price and incompatibility. Otherwise, it works fine:-(

Works great. My main complaint is that the cord frays and wears out to easily.

Best Buy shoves all kinds of stuff at you to buy and then you can't pick it up NOR can you return it when it is not what you needed in the first place!

Why did Best Buy suggest this for my MacBook Pro 13" when it is not what was needed? (Apple - MagSafe 60W Power Adapter for MacBook® and 13" MacBook® Pro) I needed an extension for my laptop, purchased from Best Buy in Dec. 2019. I love the laptop, but what a pain to get the wrong information when I needed an extension and 2nd box and charging cord! I didn't understand how to connect it, and the reason was because it's the wrong one for my MacBook Pro 13". So now I have to return it, and reorder other items (which Apple Support advised on the easy-access phone call).
