We go through these cords and the replacements are good but too expensive.

My Mac power cord died after just one and one half years. Hopefully, this one will last longer.

This will be my third power adapter. On the first two, the cord cracked, and virtually disintegrated after a couple years. I held it together with electrical tape. Best Buy's price is as good or better than at the Apple Store - still well-overpriced for a less-than-quality product.

Apple needs to revamp their charger durability. From iPhones to mac books. :-|

The price is to high for a charger that will only last 2 years top. Disappointed with Apple.

I love Apple products with the exception of their cables. I bought this power supply for a late 2011 MacBook Pro. The original lasted a year and six months. I expect about the same out of this too. I understand why they do what they do, in an attempt to be ecologically friendly Apple uses and inferior casing for their cables.

I’ve had a Mac for 8 years now, and I don’t know how many times I’ve replaced these chargers. I bought one a few months ago and all of a sudden it stopped working, which is why I’m stuck buying another one. If I can find a great knock odd replacement, best believe I’m going that route.

The device works great but this part is far too expensive for just a charger.

It sucks that Mac doesn't let anyone else make their products because $80 for this is a lot when they break. I have bought 3 because the connection dies, the cord breaks or starts to decay like it is old. I wish for the amount that they would hold up a bit longer! I am not the only one I know who has had this problem.
