The Apple power adapter cannot be used when the iPhone is in a phone case.

This MagSafe 60W adapted does exactly what it is supposed to do; supply power for my 13" MacBook Pro. However, I had to buy this as a replacement for the one that was supplied with my laptop, which I bought in March... LAME. The connector on these adapters seems to lose connection with the port on the computer after just a few months of use. This seems to be a fairly common problem, as several people have commented on the Apple support forums.

I bought a charger from a third party manufacturer, never again! It barely charged my computer and the charger started to get hot. After coming into Best Buy and buying the charger. I have no problems it chargers my computer fast and it doesn't get as hot as the other charger I had.

It's exac like the one that came with my mac pro originally. No problems so far and it works great.

One of the few design flaws in Apple's devices is the tiny wire in their Power Adapters. As such, after several years of hard use the wire cracks and needs to be replaced. It is tempting to save money by buying a knockoff but don't fall for it. The Apple equipment is built differently and works differently when the device is charged. With only the aforementioned complaint, the Apple mag safe is the top replacement device for its macbook.

It is a great charger and really simple to use... It is also charges the battery to its full capacity pretty quickly!

I received the charger and it was in great condition. I used it to charge an older MacBook computer to retrieve some pictures and files. It worked great. I’am very satisfied with the product.

I had to replace my power cord when my cat decided to bite my original in half. Decided to buy a genuine Apple one after having bad experiences buying knock off cords for my iPhone Apple products cost more but I believe you get what you pay for. I also believe my cat needs to get a job. ;) For others with mouthy pets, I bought clear vinyl tubing at Lowes, slip it along the length and made a cord protector. I don't want my cat or cord harmed by his biting it. Solved my problem for under $5

I kept putting off replacing my frazzled power adapter/cord for my MacBook Pro.....wish I'd replaced it long ago. I was able to find the adapter I needed easily at Best Buy and it arrived fast.

Apple discontinued this charger so Best Buy is the only place I can get. Product as described and charges up my Mac.

Works as expected. This model has the unfortunate side effect of being very prone to the cord's coating shearing open, but it's the only one I can use for my Macbook Pro so it's the one I get.

The charger is easy to use because it is plugged in by magnets and it is safe to use because it stops the macbook from hitting the ground if someone were to trip on the charger. However, I have to replace the charger for the fourth time in the past year and a half because the plastic will start to peel apart from the wiring inside the cord if you roll up the charger too much, but this is the only kind of charger that Apple creates so there is no alternatives but to buy this kind.

Hope it lasts longer than the last one I purchased. I have changed how I attach & detach it to insure longevity. Wish Apple had a better design for this electrical plug as these notoriously come apart.

The charger is a great 'cool idea" that needed more thought when it was engineered! The magsafe connector is great but the wire that connects to it to the power brick is simply awful. I have my family on four different macbook pro products and have replaced all four chargers. Most of the time it is an issue with the inner wiring design. I have had a couple chargers that have just up and quit for different reasons and apple or the geek squad did take care of me on those, but only because i paid for the extended warranty. I have done 'post mortums" on a couple of the chargers and found that the braided wire breaks where is twisted around the inner wire. The inslulation stretches but the twisted wire will only stretch so much. Why put a built in wire reel in the brick if it causes the charger wires to fail prematurely?? If the insulation has any wear this can definetely be a shock/fire hazard. I shouldnt complain too much because every laptop that i have ever had to replace a charger on has been more expensive and just as crummy . At least the apple charger is sexy to look at...i guess. Its too bad that these awesome computers have such a lousy charger. Just do a search on google ou youtube and see for yourself. I would still buy MAC! I do love the magsafe concept.

Love this product. It charges faster than the original charger.

We bought this charger to replace the original charger for our MacBook Pro which failed after several years. The new charger provides for quick charging and the magnet connector easily disconnects when we trip over the cord. The staff at the local Best Buy were very helpful selecting the right model.

This cord works well. I had misplaced my original cord while visiting out of town. After searching high and low,I broke down and bought the new cord. It is costly, but very much appreciated. My original cord turned up ,so now I have a back up. I think the new cord actually charges a little faster.

I had to buy a new charger, my old one my pet cat chewed through to the wire! The new charger worked perfectly, the store associate helped me find it quickly I only took not even 5 min. including checkout. Overall, great buy and great experience.

We had to buy a new chord for our MacBook, so we didn't read reviews at all because it was a necessary purchase. We have always been happy with the life we get from these chords though. This most recent one lasted about 5 years.
