I own MacBook Pro which I bought in 2012. I lost my original charger and went to best buy to buy this item. Best thing I've done. This charger is amazing. Stays cool and does not heat up as the other chargers would. They price matched the product and I got it for less than the original price. Love this product

I was in need of an additional power adapter for my 13in MacBook Pro. I bought this one and it works great delivering the power from the outlet to the Mac. Also, it seems that the extension cable can be used with the iPad power adapter, I like that.

I am a big Apple user and find their products reliable and easy to use, but this has one significant flaw that Apple never fixed. The cable leading to the magsafe connector is not adequately reinforced and the insulation tends to break just below the short reinforcing collar. It's not dangerous, as it only carries a few volts, but eventually the grounding wire breaks, and the wire is permanently attached to the transformer. If the wire plugged into the transformer, you could just replace a cheap wire. This will be my second replacement unit. For $80 for a wire, transformer, and magnet connector, one would expect many years of service.

My other Macbook charger literally burned up so I had to get a new one. This charger has a new end piece so it stay connected to the laptop better and is less likely to be bumped off. I have an older Macbook so I had to get this charger instead of the larger version but it works great. All in all a good product

This. is my third charger for a MacBook Pro I've had for a long time I replaced my original apple charger with an online compatible copy. That was a mistake to save 30 bucks and I'm back to the apple!

Might be a little expensive but since it is an actual apple product and not a cheap fake one from amazon it is worth it. Had it for several months and is working just fine.

This MagSafe charger does what it's supposed to. If it's not broken, it works perfectly for MacBooks of various ages. I've used this on my unibody Macbook 2009, Macbook Pro 2011, Macbook pro 2012. Can't speak for other models. Haven't tried.

This works great. The old charger for my MacBook Pro was getting worn where the plug to charge the computer connected to the cord. Charges fast. No complaints, except maybe to reinforce the cord/connector interface.

Very fast charge time, and I love that it's magnetic! If you accidently trip over the chord, it just unhooks, so your whole computer doesnt come crashing to the ground! I love it!

Apple charges way too much for replacement chargers when their own product cannot last. As if it were not bad enough that you spend a small fortune on the mac, you expect the chargers to last. I was disappointed that it was so expensive. Not built to last.

My old cord short circuited. Needed a new one asap. This is an authentic Apple product which can be used with my MacBook Pro without violating the conditions of the warranty.

After messing up my first charger I had to purchase this charger. Making sure to take precautions to prevent it from breaking around. So far it is holding up well and charges my computer as it should

As you can see by Best Buy's pictures, the new "L" shaped connector looks a great deal more sturdy than the past version. I was worried we were going to buy another faulty charger. We didn't notice the upgrade until we opened the box and were pleasantly surprised.

I needed a spare power adapter for my office and bought this one. It works great.

Had to replace charger for MacBook. This was the cord recommended. It is fine, fits the purpose, but I feel somehow that Apple is holding us all hostage. The cord is a bit awkward and rubbery and tends to move where it wants to move instead of me directing it. A very stiff cord. Maybe it will soften up and behave as it ages. It works fine so no real complaints.
