Hi, I am on my 5th power cord since buying my Mac Pro about year and a half ago. I don't travel, sits on desk all the time, not quite sure how it just quits! $80.00 per cord to replace, that is ridiculously expensive!!!! No I would not recommend purchasing the cord, but, Mac Pro is no good with out it, so they give you NO CHOICE. at least this one i will be able to replace, I have receipt and it's only been a few weeks this time!

Buying anything other than the official product is a crapshoot. That said, they are pricey and not very durable. It's handy to get them at Best Buy, however, where I can just pick one up instead of ordering them from the manufacturer.

The charger is the basic standard charger that you get when you purchase a Mac Book. You will eventually run into the same prob of the cable splitting. The good thing is that it doesn't over heat like the bootleg chargers.

It is the only power cord that could be used with the Mac laptop. It is very expensive for a electrical plug.

Hi, This is maybe the 4th adapter I have bought since purchasing my Mac Pro a little over a year ago. (so total of 5 it came with one) this adapter i have only had a few weeks so i can return it.....the others i had to purchase $80.00 each time i have to replace it...... Value for price.......POOR Value for Quality......POOR Battery Life charge......Lucky if it works....POOR ease of use.....well if it worked it is pretty easy......POOR

apple really needs to improve there chargers, this is the 3rd one this year. not very happy about this , 85 for a charger that wont even last a year ? so called apple, come on apple cut the cr@p nd stop making us pay so much for a charger that wont last....

After my original macbook charger died, I ended up getting this one the next day. One week later, it no longer charges my laptop!!!!! This is terrible for an Apple product. Very disappointed overall. I definitely plan on returning this tomorrow, and hopefully I'll have better luck with a new one from the store. This is an official Apple product...so why it stopped working after only a week is a big surprise to me.

The magsafe plug must be carefully maneuvered into place to actually charge an old (plastic) Intel Macbook. If it is even moved slightly, it will lose power, making use of the machine when on low battery nearly impossible. I list it as valuable because it prevented me from needing to buy a whole new computer immediately.

The charger lasts for about a year or so and even though it is a tad overpriced, it is still an Apple product. You buy it for the brand.

The charger that came with my mac seemed to be of a higher quality than the one I just purchased to replace the original, which suddenly quite working.

Just like all Apple products its overpriced. Also, no easy way to fold the cable so it takes less space.

I've had my macbook for a few years and this is my 3rd charger. First one came with it, the second I bought from the Apple Store so now I'm onto Best Buy. This is one of the downfalls in having an Apple product that the accessories are specific to them. Whether you treat them nicely or abuse them the lifespan seems the same. Try and buy when they are on sale cause they are pricey.

This is the second one we bought this year. Apple should warranty this. I am seriously considering buying a PC this time. I can almost buy one for the price of 2 chargers! You would think Apple would understand how serious this is and do something for their customers, or they will start losing them!

Product showed up late and wasn’t the correct charger. I went to return it and was told “you are outside of a 2 week window.” Most likely the last time I will buy anything from Best Buy. I will be sure to tell others about my experience.

I'm not buying this because it's an upgrade, i'm buying it because my old one stopped working, and $80 for a charger is rediculous. Thanks apple....

The charger is horrible it breaks every 1 to 2 years. I dread the day when I have to spend another 85 dollars on a charger. The charger I bought is dwindling down and is on its last leg. I am thinking of changing to a different mac to see if all the chargers are like this.

These things are absolute garbage. I cant believe Apple would charge so much for something that fails in less than a year. I am on my 4th one now in 3 years. $80 a pop. Thanks for failing us Apple.

My wire fell apart and started unraveling after 10 months of purchase. Extremely disappointed that I have to keep replacing it every year. At this point, I rather buy a 3rd party charger... maybe it'll be better made than these poorly made Apple ones. Don't waste your money. You can't get a replacement after a few month.

I don't know why apple insists on supplying these ridiculous units with their MacBooks. Not only are they annoying to mess with they only have a life span of about a year 1/2 - 2 years. We are on our third one now because they just keep failing on us. I love my Macbook Pro but these chargers are junk.
