This won"t be fancy or exciting. My former cord was damaged when I fell asleep in bed. The cord worked for a week or so. Replacement cord became necessary. Actually, I'd prefer having/using only the cord I need. I do not use the power adapter. I now have two (2) that I have never use. Please consider the expense for something I do not use. I wanted to get this for my brother who just requested to get it for him just in time for my travel to my home town. And i was almost going to get it from Apple when i casually visited BestBuy and saw this lying in the Open box section for around 20 bucks lesser than the new price. Since i know BestBuy's open box items are as good as new, i did not hesitate even once before buying this. And as expected this worked out perfect with a lot lesser to pay for. Thanks Best Buy.

Its very difficult to review this. The cord itself works and does exactly what it is suppose to do. That is power my macbook pro. There really is no other choice but to go with this OEM power cord as other (although cheaper) 3rd party power cords have been known to damage your computer either after short term or longer term use. However I am disappointed by the quality of the power cord because after a year of use it starts to become frayed. I am a heavy user that takes my computer and laptop with me everywhere and eventually the plug either at the computer end or the adapter end frays and ends up rendering itself useless.

Price seems a bit high, but I was able to get Open Box for a good deal. Works great for my MacBook 2009.
